Such a lovely, gentle and funny man. Had the pleasure of touring him round Ireland on three successive years. Hazy,crazy,good humoured Road trips. Howard was never demanding special treatment, totally self effacing...." I wasn't even a very good drug smuggler, I got caught!". A good man ,who's big mistake was to assume that other people he dealt with shared his integrity. Funny,intelligent, spent many nights shooting the breeze with him,some of which I remember. So sad that he's gone
