When I was early primary school age, my favorite toy(s) were my Tonka Trucks and my most favorite truck was my Tonka Tow truck aka my "Hooker Truck." I'd have been probably 6 years old when I told my teacher that I wanted to drive a great big "hooker truck" when I grow up. Well she asked me a couple questions about what a "hooker truck" driver does, and I'll never forget being confused after she explained, that the proper term for what I was referring to was a "tow truck," but in my young mind I heard "toe truck" and was all sorts of confused because that didn't make any sense at all. So I continued to call them hooker trucks for another couple years until I learned the term "homophones" and got a list of vocab words to with the lesson, well lo and behold on that list were the words "TOW and TOE" and suddenly the` world became a little bit clearer, but to this day I still call them "hooker trucks" because homonym. lol

I got really defensive for a minute and told him that it was not almost 30 years ago but then i realized when rounding up it really was 💀 I told him to be quiet and not to do that to me anymore lol i wasnt even a little kid in 1999. I'm particular about my socks I don't like holes in my socks some people walk around outside with just socks on i don't like stretched out socks. Most boys don't care but most girls would or maybe just me 😊

As a Bulgarian, that's not entirely true. It's believed that if you are too happy at the baby and you constantly praise it, you might "curse" it in a way unintentionally. Curse is a bit of a strong word for this, but I don't know an equivalent. Basically, it's believed the baby will get its energy drained and/or fussy after the interaction. We don't actually spit on the baby, we just make the noise " pu, pu, pu" to insinuate the spitting without the actual spit. And mostly only women do this, because it's only them that believe in this occurring. I've never heard anyone mentioning the thing about the chicken, so it can be a mistranslation or something that used to be said a long time ago.

My dad severely allergic to nuts....my mum let him know she was in labour with me (8 weeks early) he rushed to be there grabbed a chocolate bar from the vending machine ended up in ICU the other end of the hospital to the NICU where I was....my poor mum 🤣
