A look back at some many mishaps and crashes we have had here at DRAWDY RC. We can laugh now but at the time it was like WOW! So many things learned over the years and lots to learn moving forward. Thanks for watching and thanks for all the support.

Awesome flights fun times! Beautiful livery on f-18 Super hornet! I can’t wait for you to feel the difference with that battery tucked way back! It will land and carve the air better than ever and fly super slow without stalling as easy. BTW the fms F86 flys & looks great for a first gen Fighter 👍🏾 . Feels fast too! Unfortunately like most f86’s the nose support just doesn’t hold up to any abuse and the fuse is way overpriced for me to replace it. One day I’ll 3d print a slide in support. Hopefully you can try out the freewing 70f22! It’s amazing 🤩

How do you deal with it yelling at you multiple times a second??? and also why did the pilot flair 10 feet in the air before landing? could have easily been undamaged if the pilot left the gear up and landing like normal in the grass.

I have an Avanti edf I don’t even taxi I walk it out and use throttle management in the air and make sure when the timer goes off at 3 minutes I’m on final and I use 6 s 4000 lipos with 24 percent left in the tank

Too much preflight with power on ……..?…….?……? I see this a lot on RUclips vids. I would even not taxi. But don’t be checking shit too much with batt.on

That paint work was stellar. Sorry for the crash. Throttle management plays a huge role in this particular model or any twin 70 edf model being supplied by 1 pack. Adding your channel to my collection.

I know my Blackhorse Viper has its own battery for the retracts. Although if it were your retracts eating up the power , I believe I heard the retracts being retracted as you pulled up right before the crash. None of it makes much sense other than a lipo that went uncharged?

RC EDF's are probably one of the hardest on batteries, so if you don't have voltage telemetry. You need to set your timer on the radio on so only counts down when using throttle. I would set it at like 3 minutes, then land it and check the voltage and adjust the timer from there. I do this with all my planes. Good Luck and happy flying.

Sorry that happened always hate that part of flying, power is off to the brakes when gear are up,, same goes with steering gyro gear up no power to the steering servo I run brakes on my 90mm jets an also have steering gyros in them no problems, on average best to be on the ground way under 3min if your not having voltage call back. other wise your guessing your flight time with throttle management , really enjoy your videos hopefully you can get it fixed easily enough, beautiful jet,,, get to feeling better , thanks again for sharing

RD takes the FMS SU-27 to the field for the first time in while. The flight was great and enjoyed it until the end when the battery died and it took a spill. Although it looks bad, RD has already fixed it and its ready to go again! Can not even tell its been crashed. Come to find out, the 6th cell in this particular battery was bad or went bad in flight. RD has flow this plane before and got a solid 3 minutes out of it so we knew something was not right. Plus the flight was full throttle which was not good either with gear down in most of the flight which caused drag on the aircraft. Either way, lessoned learned. Love your videos. The Camo design is outstanding. Does look very nose heavy though. Couple of recommendations. I've got 2 of these, just finished the 2nd one. I use a Spektrum AR8360T Plus, exceptional new gyro upgrade which makes take offs and landings a breeze. Also includes flight pack voltage callouts and warnings, eliminating pack drainage to 0 in flight. Also did the dual battery mod on both, allowing 4-7 minute flight times with two SMC HiV 4400 and the ability to get the cg balance point back to 180-190, where manual wants 115-150, too nose heavy which reduces flight time and performance. Even without 2 batteries, the in flight pack voltage telemetry is essential. Plus RX also allows setting a nose wheel gyro up. Programmed flaperons and tailerons (elevons if you call them that), which allows this thing to fly incredible, cobras, flat spins, etc. But must have it balanced way back with an exceptional gyro tuned just right. Jon with 2 Bros does it with only one 4400 in air brake bay and still gets 4 minutes. I like the 2 batteries and usually fly well over 5 minutes, but needed even more tail lead to get to 190, slightly reducing some agility compared to Jon. But the new Plus RX's are a game changer! 🤗🤙

3min MAX on this beast! Even with 6000s. Those twins EAT battery in this plane and the nose heavy nature makes it way less efficient than it should be. I installed a freewing 80mm A-10 ESC set into mine and run a pair of roaring top 3300s to get 4min. One fits alll the way back in the front and the 2nd on fits in under the air brake. I also stuck a pair of freewing 2210kv motors in the FMS fans and was still getting 4min with 310kv over stock. with those heavy brakes and a battery under the air brake, this girl should fly worry free with a nice, aft CG. just make sure you have it on a gyro

Funny, I was just doing research on here for paint schemes for the SU27. Here you are flying one. I have the twin 50mm xfly. My twin 50 runs on 4s2600 and I found that having the highest C rating packs help out with the run times. I started out with 35c packs and it was dying only giving 2:30 flights including the landings. With the 60c packs, getting a solid 3 min air time with 30 sec to spare for landings. My plane is smaller and esc's not as powerful as that twin you're running, just saying that the highest C you can get will get you the assurance you'll be able to bring her home safe.

So RD is back in the saddle with the Freewing Cougar. RD really likes this EDF and its a good flyer. Running a Ovonic 6500 6s in it and it does great with this power. Although a bit rough at the end the flight overall was a good one. Thanks for watching and thanks for all the support of DRAWDY RC.

I used to have a huge one about 15 years ago it was an old school kit all wood and paint no monokote bought it off some guy already painted by hand rare find it was extremely under powered though so i never flew it looking to get back into the hobby after 10 years of not flying a thing was always a fan of 3d planes might join back with a 3d biplane is like ridding a bike right ?

Enjoying the Freewing F-4 (90mm) EDF. This is a fun EDF to fly and looks so good in the air. Flying about 3 minutes and using a OVONIC 6500 100c pack. We do fly scale, low and slow to enjoy our models. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoy brining it to you! Thanks a ton for the support and for watching.
