I would be worried about soil erosion and the building moving.
No need for worries, this house is built on top of foundations of a house over 100 years old. This old house was was built direct into the rock

What's the village like? I read somewhere it has a hunting lodge, which would be a negative for me, but not for some..
The village is small but lively and very friendly with a great atmosphere. The hunting lodge is not for public use but for a members reserve on the east side of the village. This property is opposite, on west side, so not close. The hunting season is short, a few months in winter, and it has no impact on village life.
