@Dadlifegunpla This guy only has the one bazooka and two missile racks, so not many extra weapons to play with. Even so, it's turning out to be a really good kit all things considered. Some of the others are a mess of fiddly bits, but this one's nice and clean. Not sure about the streaming for a while. After painting Fanta 1 I'm not terribly pleased with the process. Things don't show up well on the camera and I'm not sure if six plus hours worth of the sort of nit picky building I do is that interesting. I may try something a little different with the Ex-S when it's time, or I may see if I can get better camera angles for painting more of Fanta 1. I'll let you know when I do though.

I’m sure you’ll find some cool concept for the stark. Oh bummer I get it, it’s frustrating when it does turn out the way you hope. Well I hope you find the find angles and shots you want. Yes plz do.

Thanks for the Gundam lore. I’m not overly familiar with the Gundam X series. So had do a little research. lol I would have to agree, being similar in the unmanned and used heavily in offensive scenarios, I can see that paying tribute. Thanks for the verification on the ankles too. Sometimes I feel a little crazy but that was my experience haha. I think this kit is awesome and is one of my favorite grunt suits.

lol I know, I know. Couldn’t help myself 🤣 That was a happy accident was I clipped it and sped it up. My hands and runners matched perfectly. Didn’t even notice until I was doing my voice over. I say do it. The bright vibrant colors against a black or even a dark gray will look awesome for sure.

@Dadlifegunpla Neon Genesis Gundam? Man, I feel your pain with the hand thing. I'm glad Artifacts don't have multiple options, glue is my friend.

@ I would expect that with the board game. Lol I do actually believe the artifacts have a chance of pulling a rare color scheme. Transparent colors. Maybe you’ll pull one.

@@Dadlifegunpla Thanks Matt, all I need to get are MG: Hyaku Shiki, Sazabi Ver.KA and the hard to find hopefully gets reprinted Zeong/Perfect Zeong.

The hiyaku Shiki And Sazabi shouldn’t be to bad to track down. I’ve seen both found at HL. No sazabi at mine yet or I would grab that fast. Haha the Zeong will be hard but I do occasionally see the standard Zeong pop up buy sell trade, so still doable. Perfect Zeong is pretty big or least what I’ve seen in photos.

@@Dadlifegunpla Some rip off company in China I would believe theres a ton of these copies the fact theres bootleg gunplas is kinda scary for beginners.

@@hmuphilly9129 oh I agree getting knockoff as a first kit ( or just starting out) could suck specially if it had confusing directions or poor quality. My hope is that they watch/read reviews to help find something good. If you’re starting out Bandai is the best and do recommend using popular Gunpla specialized or physical stores.

@ well that’s possible. I have an aerial that didn’t come with a box, just in a bubble wrap envelope. I missed that when I ordered it. Lol The listings online that I’ve looked at typically say box or no box above the description. So depends. If I can get a box I prefer that myself.

@@Dadlifegunpla u wont be disappointed, the gold accents are great, extra panel lining is awesome. Also most of the nub marks are very well hidden so i applied matt top coat with some minimal marker painting before cutting them out of the spru. Very solid indeed.

@@dooms8870 oh nice. Everything I seen on it looked really good. I built the Bandai a while back and wanted the comparison. Hiding the nub marks, love it. The gold was my biggest concerns and of course shipping. Lol Now I’m even more pumped.

They’ve also got the Gouf Flight Type and a variant of the Gouf Custom with a tiltrotor pack similar to the Thunderbolt version. I’ve also found a GM Spartan (EW Model, I think the company was) which includes a modular GM Rifle and a more detailed GM Sniper II sniper rifle with a working bipod. It’s honestly really sick when bootleggers offer options that you just can’t get with Bandai.

@ that is pretty cool. I came across the tilt rotor pack gouf the other day. It did look really sweet. I will have to track down the GM with detailed sniper rifle. That sounds like I need it. Lol thanks for the info!

No topcoat. I’ve heard that too but never had it happen, yet. I need to research more, like maybe certain plastics in a time frame or something like that.

I would say they put decent amount of time duplicating this kit. Sounds like pretty armor made a solid effort . I don’t do much in figures though the occasional dbz or Sword Art catches my eye. I appreciate the info. I will keep that in mind selecting my next 3rd party kit. Thank you

I can see where skill is a determining factor in the figma thing. If you have experience and know what you can do- and cannot do- you would avoid the overly complicated figures. But someone that doesn't know what they are doing would rush in after seeing the cool design.

I do recommend it. I enjoyed the build a lot. The simplicity and size make it just a fun snap. I agree sometimes a change of pace is a needed. I haven’t built the Lah Gundam yet but it’s certainly in my want list, the design catches my eyes ever time. Lol thanks for sharing.

What’s your process?

What model kit builder does, you gotta cut away from the nub leaving a little bit of the gate then trim the rest of leaving a clean cut with​ less noticeable stress marks ready for sandpaper if u want tutorial I can send link@@Dadlifegunpla

@ thanks for sharing buddy. So technique I use now is very similar to that, still get close but I do leave some room. I use a glass file Raser 1.5 mainly to reduce time for reviews. Do you have a preference in sanding paper?
