Why PC will Die over price hardware, buggy games, maintenance, no hard copies of games.

If you can't afford both then I recommend buying a budget android devices that has decent specs and it depends how powerful the device is I have a android tablet and it can run up to Nintendo DS games and if you you get a cheap budget android phone don't expect it to run Nintendo Wii GameCube and PS2 games because some devices can't handle those modern consoles so ya I guess you can do anything with a android device but your limited though.

I think the largest argument for this is the PS3. Ken Kutaragi was given a blank check to design the ultimate PS3 with the Cell processor, something game developers never fully figured out and an expensive piece of hardware to produce, versus the X360 which was more PC-like. Fast-forward and the PS4, a console built on PC architecture, was an amazing success. I don't think Sony will ever go back to something completely alien. It's just simpler and cheaper to use APUs or GPUs with an already tested process.

Consoles are built like PCs since the PS4 and Xbox one. The only real console left is the Switch.

As someone who grew up on consoles. Pc is better and now as an adult I would never spend more than 100 bucks on anything gaming related but if I were too Id buy a PC.

as a game dev i can say that your last theory is probably the reason but it's a bit more complicated than that ,in AAA developement when there's an idea for a feature it needs to be pitched to higherups (Microsoft in this case) and if even a little detail is rejected the whole feature needs to be either reworked or scrapped,1.18 to 1.20 were only there to add the missing features from 1.17 and the other features could not have been planned or pitched to microsoft in a reasonable time so they didn't add many, and this is also why i think that 1.21 seems to be really promising, and onestly i think the community is too spoiled, the updates are free and microsoft aint gonna up their budgets just for silly block game, i think we should be grateful for the constant free added content instead of being angry at mojang because minecraft live didn't show 169% of 1.21
