Looking back, we watched a self-righteous father, Craig James, attack Coach Leach because of a lack of playing time for his son. There was never any evidence of Leach mistreating Adam James or any other student athlete before or after this incident. Texas Tech used the fact that they didn’t want to pay up for Leach and coincided it with a father who had a national media presence looking for vindication for his son. Coach Leach got the short-end of the stick and if this didn’t happen, he would have been at USC or some other big money school and he would have never lost. Rest in Peace. I would have loved to had a drink with you in Key West. Your uniqueness and reputation proceeded you. We will miss you Coach!

Did his kid have a concussion? Did the coach try to rush him back? 10+ years ago the NFL treated head injuries differently. Was Craig James proven to be right? I really don't know the answers.

Looking back it's pretty astonishing that this dude actually felt anyone, other than a hand full of disgruntled Tech alumni with DeeeeeeeeeeP pockets, were actually on the James Family side in this. This dude is no better a father to little Adam than Todd Marinovich's overbearing abusive father. Well, as they say, you get what you pay for.

Mike Leach is the only coach at Tech that made me interested in the football games He added so much to Tech and when they fired him I was absolutely shocked out of my mind. Then the two that fired him left Tech. Tech still owes him money. Now he has passed , but I'm sure his family could use the money, so pay him. What a embarrasssment to the citizens of Lubbock. I will never support Tech again. I have a degree from Tech and learned nothing about teaching school.

Great coach and. Events greater family man. Lost all respect for Craig James when he got involved and tried to end his carrier guy who went to some tough places and always had success. Texas Tech made a massive mistake not backing him up.
