Hey, from my observation performance on SSD is drastic while working on small files, when You have git-hub repositories and have tiny changes from witching branches, 100% worth upgrading to SSD. Because it's using copy-on-write You have lot of IOPS - You can hear that by disk head clicking. I was observing very slow progress and less to 2MB/s. RAW speed on large files like video just like You said don't have any impact - it's either limited by CPU or network. If that's not Your use case then no need to upgrade.

Forget about ION - unless You want use Motorola WAVE and even THEN if You use WAVE You need to disable LMR to talk over LTE because pressing PTT will call LMR!... so idea of having two devices in 1 DO NOT EXIST at this point in time.... so I would suggest going with Motorola Evolve since it's just PoC. Tell me more about Your needs is it for Zello or RealPTT? You want LMR & PoC same time? or only PoC? If only thing You need is PoC - it will sound stupid... but I would recommend normal phone (maybe from rugged series) and good BT RSM!! Better throw money on RSM that is reliable, reconnect fast, don't require any hoops. Regular smartphone (used sonim or something like this) go to holster or backpack and RSM can be open to elements like rain, cold - and You will be gold! Currently I'm testing cheap Zello Android PoC - and I'm surprise how well they work and how reliable they are in term of stability - no one expect 50bucks PoC radio to have Motorola drop test quality but paired with quality RSM ruggedness requirement fade little bit away. Trashy Motorola APX copy from Aliexpress with two PTT button design give better usability than Motorola Ion!!! So I will be touching cheaper options but I need some time to test stability since this is most important part. Motorola ION feel amazing on paper but to use Motorola WM500 RSM I had install Wave client, disable LMR, and then it let me use Zello PTT on RSM... without those steps PTT on RSM call LMR... You see how many hoops? This seems fine for Aliexpress stuff but not 2K EUR radio... I more often took Motorola R7 and cheap PoC than Ion.... but worst is!!! - those things could be fixed by SIMPLE firmware update... couple lines of code... allow dedicated button to switch between PTT on LMR | LTE - click, lady in speaker say (wide band, or LTE) - maybe icon flash blue and pressing PTT talk over Zello or Wave - You pres it lady say (narrow band, LMR) - flashing red, and pressing button PTT on LMR... but still You should be able to hear Zello | Wave.... with is no problem!! since I can play YT video and have LMR.... <- simple software update.... but Motorola seems not care... Tell me more about requirements so I can advice You better.

​@@MayankJairaj You are right, Cleefun - but I saw them under different brands or even without any label at all so I don't think this is manufacture - I search it using "8m usb-c PD 60W charging cable".

I applied on that pad but I can't tell if this is proper way to do it. I did it for a first time.

Many years ago, it was common practice to pull tape from one cartridge and mount to another. Try tear it down and see if it's possible - then grab cheapest that have same width and do swap. There is also possibility to soak it with ink (if tape is not tear) you spin tape and apply ink. There were devices that help with this process. In 90's it was common practice! Try some retro PC forum - for sure they have suggestions!

Hey, sorry it was like Year ago - I don't remember. It was much faster than restoring from AirPort Time Machine. I would say around 1 and half hour vs 6 (couple months ago I had crash and need restore from it, time capsule) and it was painful. Copy mac-to-mac via thunderbolt I almost did from battery on that old Intel mac -so it was great fun!

SL1600 is nice but still for covert operation I like my SL4000 more (for untrained eye looks like grandpas dumb phone"). I hope You realized I'm not being paired with WM500 to SL1600 but to that remote ION, so I really can't tell You. I Have RSM from Inrico BT (cheap china) but on ION it won't trigger PTT on UHF, it can be used for Zello, trigger PTT in app well - but no LMR. One day I might touch BT PTT on other radios but as today I can't buying BT entitlements from Motorola for all radios just for video so I'm kid of limited with my budget :( Savox make nice BT RSM but they are also expensive - on Motorola one I already can see there were couple firmware updates so I think they are going to be worth money and build quality is amazing - feel like hard wired mic. In US You can spot good deal - much cheaper than EU!.
