Hi. Yes the paper is not expensive watercolor paper - it is sketchbook paper from Talens Art Creation. I still get intimidated using more pricey art supplies but having a not-so-expensive but durable sketchbook helps me to get back to a routine of drawing almost daily with less pressure of 'wasting' the 'good stuff'. I have had several days or sometimes weeks without using my art supplies/ materials and it feels like I don't know how to draw anymore -- but if I 'push' myself to "just draw" it's when I realise I do miss illustrating / painting / drawing.

I agree, you have a valid point. I think the difference would be on how each person experience each city. Most similar-sized European cities may have good public transportation, famous museums, beautiful architecture and the list goes on -- but the differences are mostly dependent on the person visiting the city. Budapest, for example may not be a favorite of mine in terms of how they manage their public transportation even if they almost have the same type of public transportation like Vienna. Zurich supposedly has the best public transportation but is also not on my "favorite" list (in my own opinion and perspective), probably has something to do with the weather when I visited or probably because I am more drawn to train stops that are similar to Paris or St. Petersburg -- and all these opinions are coming from my own biases and perspective -- biases that make experiencing a city different for each person. My experience in Vienna may apply to most European countries of similar-sized cities but I don't think it is the same for everyone and I may have a different experience if I visited again. We stayed for 3 days. Yes, will definitely go back - at first I thought Paris was overrated and I'm not a big fan of crowds - but then again, Paris is beautiful if you get those pockets of quiet and try to ignore the crowd if at all possible :)

I love the washi tapes too! I got them at Circle Mall JVC - hopefully they still have them when you visit. I'm glad to hear you're also a journal enthusiast - there aren't a lot of us in this part of the world (I think). Whenever I go home (Philippines) it's always in my itinerary to visit a couple of shops selling stationery designed/ illustrated by local artists. Hopefully soon we'll have more specialty stationery shops here in Dubai/UAE.
