Mine came in glued could not open it. Worse invention ever 👎🏽 Thank you for the butter knife tip it certainly helped with the new one I reordered after throwing the glued one into the wall.

I used a 'jar gripper pad' for tough jar lids - worked without butter knife. 👍🏼

the problem is that you were putting to much pressure in the first place. create a large surface of contact between the hand and the remote and it comes off easily

How can a company make it's customers go through this brutal job just to change the batteries, do they care less about us that much? What if the makers of this remote had to do this every time they had to change their batteries, maybe then they would redesign it.

My remote control now looks like it lost a wrestling match with a chainsaw after using a knife to open it. This remote control is so poorly designed...reason enough to never again purchase a Samsung television! However your video was extremely helpful. Thank you.

You legend! I was totally frustrated trying to open it. In the end, out of fear for my hands when using the knife, I put on rubber work gloves and the extra traction allowed me to open it quite easily in the end, without the knife. Thanks a mil
