#1: Don’t buy games

Lots of great tips! Especially on saving yourself from games we don’t really need. When it comes to actually purchasing games though, my best tip is to wait for deals. We don’t need to get every game immediately! Most will go on sale at some point. So a little patience to wait for an occasion like Nerdz Day or Black Friday, or to track prices on Board Game Oracle or look for used copies, can go a long way with savings 👍

I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews for this game over the years and always been interested! Since we’re 2 player 90% of the time though, we try to limit how many games we have that really need multiplayer to shine. Hoping for an opportunity to just try it out at a friend’s or something some day!

Great overview of a fantastic game! Have to agree about the coins. Even a cheap textured plastic would have sufficed. So far highest player count I've had is 4. I can only imagine what 6 would be like! Thanks for the good clean and consice rundown.

I got into the hobby three years ago, met a lot of interesting people, spent a lot of quality time having fun with them. Sometimes we play 3 times a week, which is great considering the time we live in. I agree with you, board games are a very interesting hobby that brings people together, family, and brings new people into your life.

As someone who has been in the hobby a while, interesting selection- suggest you don’t forget to explore older titles. Your list is definitely skewed toward newer titles. Great choice with Libertalia. That’s a favorite for my gaming group and family. Well done and have fun!

Unstable Games' games have no depth at all.

Septima is way heavier than Ostia, not even close. Nucleum is heavier than both of them, by another mile!
