those superheroes as so damn shitty
SMH they butchered this show he wears a mask because he is a clone of homelander and he is there to make sure he doesn’t go crazy they couldn’t just stick with the comic smh

There’s a name for that, Imaginary Friend and IF (it’s a short one) Mac Sees Bloo and Hailey sees Happy
I really prefer this over the equivalent Battle of the Bulge scene in the comics. In the comics them getting completely wiped out in short order is just another repetition of Ennis' belief that superheroes/people with powers would get slaughtered by soldiers. It's also just the Allies fighting the Nazis, clearly you want Mallory's forces to live. The show though adds more moral ambiguity (Mallory being in Nicaragua doing shady shit to fund more of the USA’s shady shit at home and abroad emphasizes she and The Boys are little better than Vought), some of Payback are still fuckups but others like Soldier Boy and Noir know what they’re doing and are very dangerous (Crimson Countess and Gunpowder as well but for different reasons), and it adds more to the overall mythology of the series (Edgar and Noir’s partnership, this is Payback getting payback on SB and it shows Vought paving the way for a Supe they think is a better product).

A few episodes later they show what happened with Payback played by Noir’s imaginary friends. Vought wanted to get rid of Soldier Boy to make way for Homelander and Payback went along with it because they hated SB since he was a bullying piece of shit. They ganged up on him but SB fought back, essentially bashed out Noir’s brains and held his face against a burning truck before they finally knocked out SB
Idk i just feel like if Stan Edgar wouldve let Mallory in on it she wouldnt have opposed? Idk if stan edgar is a sadist but its almost like he chooses the absolute worst ways to go about things.
Nah, CURRENT Grace wouldn't mind. He wasn't close to Grace at the time and would make such an unnecessary risk telling her and risking ANY other witnesses. Hell, this mission seems to be what pushed Grace to be more cold.

He was told by young Stan Edgar to keep the mask on since he wouldn't be accepted due to his skin color and all he wanted to do was be an actor. After Soldier Boy's attack, he's forced to keep the mask on due to his shame and disfigurements.

This entire thing was a set up. Payback agreed to give Soldier Boy to the Russians on Vought's orders. The attack was planned by Vought and the only ones who didn't know was all the soldiers except Edgar. They gave Soldier Boy to them in the chaos and then they acted all innocent.

@@samfisher9079it's off camera. All the other supes banged up on Soldier Boy and gave him to the Russians... but he put upba food fight and wrecked a few of them... especially Black Noirs face.
Soldier Boy put noirs face in a fire and bashed his skull in with his shield causing part of his brain to fall out. It was shown when Noir was talking to his imaginary friends.

Before, in the same chapter, there's a debate between Gordon and the mayor, and Cheryl says: "The squirrels are on roids, there are pregnant rats everywhere, there's toxic puddles in the streets, the sewers don't work, there are KID BUS DRIVERS... How are you going to solve this, Gordon?" And then we get this scene, where every single big issue in Gotham work to do wonders 😂
