Beautiful, beautiful... Thanks, Augusta...
beautiful embellishments!
Beautiful! Wish I’d been there to hear it live but am returning to listen again on this snowy night in Vermont. Thank you.
This is great, Never heard of Biber but this tune is metal. You got riz sis.
Ahhh... Pleasantly surprised to see you have a recording of this Matteis piece online! Sounds amazing! 👏 I saw you in Berkeley with VOM weeks before Coronavirus hit. To this day, I have never heard a a performance of Biber's Sonata in Fmaj that could begin to touch what you & Hanneke & team put on that evening. The rendition VOM uploaded from those series of shows is also great, but I think the particular night my family and I attended was especially magical. That was, very seriously, an inspired performance. Anyway, three years overdue but thank you for being central to such an amazing night. Subscribed.
Is Vivaldi transitioning here from Baroque to Galant Style to Classical (early Haydn)? 🎵
One of the BEST performances of Vivaldi's Andante that I have EVER watched! Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
augusta composizione per una augusta esecuzione .
Fantastic, I❤the explanations and above all your playing, beautiful. But ... this E♮at the middle of bar 3 ... I know more or less the reasoning behind it, but no, sorry, I can't. Jokingly, I may say that at least it has the advantage of waking me up at the beginning 😉. Don't get me wrong, I ❤❤❤ the way you play.
Ciao, Augusta. Complimenti per il suono e per la musicalità!!!👏
Delizioso!Sono commosso.Grazie...
Augusta always so delicate in her interpretations. Wonderful ❤️❤️❤️
Hermosa😍😍😍😍
In Baroque music, the highest achievement is "Harmony", You did it. Plus you show your understanding of the piece, which is very important when playing and leading the audience to flow with you. Hope you can come Sydney and see you in concert.
You are speaking Bach :)
I really enjoy the light touch and subtle vibrato.
Прекрасно!:))🥀 Прямо мурашки по коже!:))🦋
Wonderful. Funny though, how we all dot the d 4:40 - and some apparently the f as well - although they aren't dotted 😉
1:45, punto trillo
Bravo !
Beautifull!!!
Thank you!
Bravo, and I am reminded of..
Oh Augusta - you really have a way with Biber! And, it occurs to me that your detaché makes an impression not unlike Paco de Lucía’s picado: an unstoppable force of nature. Yes, more please!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Brava!
Thank you!
Great work! Congratulations! There is a version of Schradieck book 1 with different bow articulations on IMSLP which I did not understand. I'm a beginner and I would appreciate a lot if you could make a video showing those different bow articulations. Thanks, keep up the good work!
I just LOVE her ! What a beautiful playing, congratulations !!
Glad you liked it!! :)
👍.....🍎
And I thought my interpretation was pretty legit... Thank you for the inspiration! I love this piece, you can always start practising it again from time to time and see how it got better with better technique :)
I am glad this could be inspiring, although I imagine your interpretation is already fantastic! Thanks for watching! Yes, practicing Bach never gets old... I've been practicing the C Major lately... lots to improve always :)
@@augustamckaylodge4210 I'm not as professional as you are, the C Major would be a next step for me, although I already played the Largo. I'm trying to get the whole Partita No. 2 together at the moment, but the Chaconne definitely needs a bit more time haha
@@aaronjaeger6899 enjoy!
Hey AML, the Corelli's Band CD landed on my doormat today. Hurrah! V. Good.
Wow!!! Very cool!! Thank you so much 🙂
Very authentic and beautiful. Just the right dosis of vibrato and dynamics for baroque playing :)
thank you so much!
I like you so much. Have seen you with V of M, an excellent group. I really liked your Scottish tunes video. Thanking you from Guatemala.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the fiddle tunes.

Thank you so much!
Felicitaciones, bellísimo y muy afinado
Thank you!
Augusta, congratulations! Impressive
Impressive! Augusta, I really liked it. I wish ....
amazing...Bravo! 👏👏👏
Thanks!
I think you manage to reach the pure thing: giving full expressivity without giving up the "pace" nor the the deep harmony. Humility and intensity reunited. Excuse my english... Thank you for dedicating your everyday life to beauty.
Thank you for your kind comment! Bach's music speaks for itself, we are so lucky to have his beautiful violin Sonatas and Partitas! Thank you for listening. :)
@@augustamckaylodge4210 I don't agree! Bach's music does not speaks for itself: it needs practice, practice, practice... dedication, humility and passion, a lot of technique, many renunciations, and somehow a lot of craziness... This music only reaches its aim when people know how to make it speak. Your dedication gives a voice to Bach's music and is a real necessity in this world. Thank you again.
Great performance and beautiful playing!
Thank you! :)
Rich and poised, lyrical and dancelike. Wonderful, Augusta!
Thank you so much!!
Wondrous, sonorous, glorious stupendous yet tricky by Jove for us mere violin mortals...
@@PBSindlinger thank you!
Great tutorial, I just have 1 question for your left thump. Do you support the instrument solely by this finger?
Sorry somehow I missed this comment! The left thumb does support the instrument quite a bit but it's more of a triangular balancing act between thumb, base joint of index finger, and collarbone
Amazing playing and the chin-off technique is spectacular
Thank you!
Thanks for pointing that out about her chin off technique. I need to work on this, to save my ailing neck. And be able to have my chin off and not be concerned about the violin slipping. I love all the subtleties in this piece.
Beautiful! And I love the fingering at :39. I'm going to use that from now on :) Thanks Augusta!
Yay!
Beautiful 2.
thanks!
Amazing! Thanks for this! Would love to know your practice routine favorites on the Baroque Violin.
I'll try to get a video out on that!
Beautiful !
thank you so much!
Thank you Augusta for making this wonderful video! I was going to make one for my students, but yours covers the essentials (and is short enough they'll watch it all!). Take care, David
Thank you so much David!! It makes me so happy to know that people are finding this useful.
Ah, excellent! You're tempting me to try to tackle this now.
