The hospitals that I contacted, don't do any Anesthesia, not even local; which is no prob for me. But they said that pre-operation it's mandatoy to do a blood withdrawal and coagulation test. “Experience some discomfort after surgery” I’m 5 weeks post op and doing great, however the first week after surgery it freaking hurts. Think about it for a minute, there is a foreign artificial body implanted inside one of the most sensitive parts of a man’s body. It’s going to hurt. It’s not unbearable, but it hurts. The body is healing around this implant so just know it will hurt. In my experience “discomfort” happened after the swelling went down during the two to four week period after my body was getting used to the fact there is a foreign object inside of my penis, inside my scrotum and inside my lower abdomen. At 5 weeks I can already tell this is going to be worth the two weeks of pain, not “discomfort “.

The point of the procedure is to reopen the path for the bladder to drain normally. Once the prostate has swollen/increased in size it can severely restrict emptying of the bladder so this procedure removes that extra tissue that grows in most older men.

Have you noticed that majority of presentations about "fixing" prostate problems are turned off?????It is simple - these quacks do not want people to know that so far none of the "treatments" for the enlarged prostate work!!!!!!Majority of them involve removal of prostate tissue - destroying, irreversibly in the process the urethrae that will never going to be restored! All these treatments are barbaric, painful, ineffective and show signs of praying on elderly instead helping them with their real problem. All those prostate treatment procedures have nothing to do with science or medicine. It is so sad that in the latest 20 years there was no real progress in the treatment - who gives sh..t about elderlies! They usually have no insurance because they are not employed any more!

I had this done 8 weeks ago.. So far i have not seen the full benefit as it takes around 12 weeks or more to get a true result. No sexual side effects other than the retrograde ejaculation so if you wish to have kids you need to find another solution. Some disadvantages there but also if you think about it also some advantages that your partner may appreciate.😜😜😜.. The procedure was not a problem and I stayed in the hospital for the full day and go back home after this. My main improvement so far is that my flow is more powerful, but I still wake up in the middle of the night, and have to rush to the toilet when I feel the urge coming.. So I wear some type of small incontinence pad to avoid bad surprises. I am still passing small scabs but I have seen improvement and less burning when i pee. I live in Canada, in the Vancouver BC aera, and the procedure can be done in Port Moody, New Westminster and Surrey .. speak to your Urologist. Not many other options in BC unless you want to travel to Alberta and Ontario.. I will try to update these comments after the full cycle.
