yay! I was looking for small yurt videos! everyone seems to have those huge yurts but I want a small one so I wanna see this size being lived in :-)

Do you have more info on why it works? I love knowing the "why" of stuff like this :) I don't doubt its effectiveness but soo many people scoff at this kind of stuff it's nice to be able to put them in their place when they get snooty about "alternative" patenting practices

its not a big fellowship yet, but its growing, so much the goverment is starting to regulate them

Good video but wow - yurt kits are kind of pricey for what they are - I have carpentry skills and could build a fully insulated cabin with twice the square footage for the same price as some of these 30' diameter yurts(almost 9 grand!). I get that its more than just affordability and yurts offer some advantages over a fully-wooden structure but I was pretty surprised by the prices. I guess canvas is very expensive.

It isn't just simply because we live very remotely and no one really knows we are there.

We liked it a lot when we were living there for the year we did, we now living our unfinished house. We still spend a lot of time in the yurt though, it is a great way to ensure a minimalistic lifestyle

Nice yurt. I've been living in one for about a year in Negros Oriental in the Philippine Islands w/ family. How do you like it so far? We love ours.

Any issues with security living in a yurt? I imagine having walls you can break down with an axe can be dangerous.

Is it easy to sell your yurt after it has been built? Can you dismantle it and move it to another piece of land fairly easily? Did you go mad living in such a tight space?

Kris- I'm wondering if you guys are thinking about making soap. I've been asked by a women's co-op here in Costa Rica to teach them to how to make soap from organic and natural products. Your science background is a great asset. Let me know if you want some tips. Love your videos. Tina
