digging a mine in the garden and disposing of the overburden by the use of a playeway and railway
Some of it seems to be rails ,some angle iron .Either way I'm rather jealous.
Awesome video; I love how tiny those two wagons are in comparison to Tyler!
How did he get the drit out the hole with the bucket ?
How did you build your locomotive?
It's actually wood with a mobility scooter engine
Is this a demonstration how Napoleonic era plateway works right?
gotta ask - why are they digging a mine?
For ballast, it's free, it just needs digging up
It reminds me of the narrow gauge railways of Word War One. They used man powered wagons near the front, up rather large engines is more established areas. It seems nice and more fun than the usual wheelbarrow for such work. Thanks for sharing and good luck.
Kinda reminds me of Thomas the tank engine
that's a great homemade Railway you have
Lee, love your little railway. I was trying to find a way to PM you. I have been trying to find information on the construction of narrow gauge railroads and track. I am hoping you can help me out.
Find me on Facebook, there's loads of info about it on there
I would sell my entire house just for a plot of land to do this on.
Hello Lee :) . Would it be possible to show a plan / map of the rail network, with a rough scale, please? 🙏🤞😊.
Can't seem to add a plan on youtube, find me on Facebook, its all on there
It would be good if you could record this again someday in landscape rather than portrait. :) (a short time later edit) Just found the others and thought they were great... but why are the comments turned off? o_O
Chuga chuga choo choo
Ovo je uzvišenije od ŠEKSPIROVIH djela !!!
do you make your own wagons or trucks ? thanks.
Yeah, and locos
where did u find the edge and plate rail in this day and age ? thanks in advance .:)
The plateway has 2 original plates rails from the peak forest tramway, the rest were made, the fish bellied is all new copied from cromford High peak, the normal edge rail is a mixture of old and new from ebay and the miniature railway supplies
interesting example of edge and plate and i beam rail in use .☺
Without that tipple he could have loaded the car in a quarter of the time🤣🤣🤣 British effectiveness at its finest.
Seemed awfully quiet, battery powered?
Can you to a turtorial video of your train?
I can, im just in the process of some major layout alterations, when they are complete I'll put something on
That's a man in desperate need of a wheelbarrow.
That ain't fun!
Who needs a wheelbarrow when you can install something like this?
Must have cost a lot to build this.
The locomotive has too little smoke to be steam-powered and is too silent to be a diesel. Is it a battery-electric or compressed air locomotive?
Its powered by a mobility scooter, it has to be quiet as I have neighbours
It is a great railway. Best regards from germany. Jens from Feldbahn Obersulm
Where did you get the wheels from?
Various places, half are brand new, the rest are off ebay and facebook
If you wanna make a rail car, mining cart wheels are the best option. There cheap, readily available and work well for narrow gauge rails even though they aren’t that conical.
All you need now is an actual steam loco!
Can't imagine my neighbours taking too kindly to that unfortunately
@@leetaylor9887 Tough shit, it's your railroad not there's.
Nice one sir, these is the smallest gauge train that I have ever seen... Being an Indian, I have only seen board gauge trains ( 5foot 6inches ). Liked it :))
India does have at least one 2 foot gauge railway, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. You'll find a lot about it if you look it up as it's quite famous around the world.
@@kalebcosier1447 There's actually around 13.
There were 19 , But 6 got Closed down
When the covid 19 pandemic ends I'd consider making this open to public.
No sorry, liability insurance would be too costly, I may possibly have the odd open day but will have to look into that
@@leetaylor9887 That's a shame but fair enough. I'd thought public paying would cover costs but whatever is best.
Thank you for the video. May I ask what radius your sharpest curves are? What do you use to bend the rails?
Thankyou, about 4 metres and I use a jim crow
What a great little railway and very practical around the garden. Love it.
Excellent set up. Do you ever hold open days?
Thanks, not had any open days before but think its something I should now consider
Fantastic stuff Lee, Scott tells me about your railway, is the frame that out of Morton Crossing ?
Yes John, I relocked it
Very nicely done.
