Baby Dog Antics in Open Barn Hunt- Harpo 12-13-24
Ironic that we have only one video of Harpo in the two days of trialing and it is his only NQ od the weekend! Totally my fault for calling a rat befoe he was super clear about finding one, becaue he usually is. All excellent information though, and his least confident run of the weekend. First time I asked him to sit while handing off the rat, which instantly became my preferred way to do so for him, after letting him celebrate a bit of course 😊😊 All in the course of progress!

T3 Masters run, Tina, 12-14-24

SO proud of this dog! She has shut down and refused to hunt in this particular ring in the past; too much noise and too many people watching right at the walls. She was all business today! I love how she pounces on her second rat (2:41 or so, because she realises I am still hesitating calling it. First time I have seen her do that in a trial, and she even crawls under a high bale towards the en...

We are still waiting for our first Q in Masters, but this video is proof of how far she has come and how hard she is working, even in new environments. SO proud of my little Taiwan Dog 😊

Harpo Barn Hunt - best find yet, lesson March 14, 2024

Harpo (Stolta Ebbas Hakon Husmus Af Saga) is 9 months old and this is his third barn hunt lesson, second round of the day. He showed by the end of the day that rats are higher value now than the treats, which is huge for him! We are close to ready for his first actual trial. It is a joy for me to see him so focused and so excited to be hunting. And I was turning away, I am still learning to wat...
Harpo - First BarnHunt lesson part 2 - very first rung, tunnels and rat ‘Find’

SO proud of this little guy! It was all so new - the straw, the ring, the instructor watching, and the rats in tubes just seen for the first time minutes ago, let alone the straw bale tunnels! He stayed very engaged and curious for only 13 weeks old. And clearly thought this was great fun! What a good little Danish Swedish Farmdog!
Harpo - 13 weeks old - first ever Barn Hunt lesson/live rat
Просмотров 43Год назад
This is Harpo’s first time into the Barn Hunt venue, seeing the rat tube cradle, and sniffing his very first live rat. All of it is brand new to him. The pvc tube farthest from the camera is an empty tube, the middle one has rat litter in it but no rat, and the tube closest to the camera has a live rat inside. He definitely learned the difference very quickly. He met this challenge with confide...

Our second run in the first trial for both of us. Also an NQ, but overall a rousing success in so many ways.

Our Agility Debut - very first run in the first ever agility trial for both of us. Lots of mistakes, (almost all of them mine) and an NQ, but still super pleased with how she ran and incredibly relieved to have this first run in the history books finally.
Twilight weave pole practice 3/14/2016

Tina and I have been training the agility weave poles since Christmas 2015. She just did the full 12 poles in class last week (I don't have a full set for home yet), and we are continuing to practice for generalizing the entry point, increasing speed, and tightening to the true straight line for all 12 poles. We are using the 2 x 2 method, FYI. Try it, you might get as addicted as we are!

Very Nice. Is Harpo a Fox terrier? Best regards from Brasil.
😂
Nice tank, i reall want 3 or 4 dwarf puffers what size tank do you reccomend???
I have 3 Dp's in a 20 gallon with 2 Otto's, They get along fine, from what I've read otto's are the only thing they wont bother
Hey I have a quck question i purchased this ario moonlight pump and i think It pushes too much air in the tank. Is it a such thing as that? It makes my tank very very cloudy and its ugly as ever. You think its safe to leave this thing running in my tank with all this air going thru it? Can you take a quick look at my video and let me know thanks.
Hey you know what kind of fish can be in the tank with these little monsters. These are the cutest fish but omg the meanest lol. Shrimp dont stand a chance lol. What can I put in with them?
coolest fish ever, ive got one
thank you actaully they are eating really well I have a spotted puffer as well I bought some ghost shrimp those probably lasted a day...lol...and I bough a small electric blue lobster that was gone the next morning...ha ha ha...little piggies
cute...I just bought 2 little pea puffers yesterday they did not seem to interested in the blood worms like the other fish were I was thinking of tryin something smaller like brime shirp? or do you have any suggestions...thanks
Like, not necessarily need for puffers, need for snails, re the plants. WILD snails? I honestly do not know. I have never tried, and dont know anyone that has. BUT, I see no reason why not, as long as they are aquatic ones, and the place you get them from looks relatively clean and natural. Seems to me a wild snail would be as good as any other. I will be curious to hear how it goes if you try it! Best of luck, Connie
If you do want to breed them, all you need is a few starter snails and a separate tank (someplace that the puffers dont have access to) and throw them in; the snails will quickly do the rest. Live plants are almost a necessity for success though, I would think; havent tried it without plants so dont know for sure. It only took me a few months, now i have more than the puffers can eat! Have fun with your puffers! CC
Hmm, I have never tried gathering them from the wild. If you did, they would need to be aquatic snails, which I have seen in local ponds, but big ones. I myself get them out of my other tanks, and initially set a small one up just for raising snails. When I first had the puffers, I would go into the local fish stores and ask for them; most places were more than happy to give them to me for free because they are unwanted pests there, especially the pea puffer lunch-sized ones. Good luck! CC
