Very nice
Informative and entertaining keep it up 👍🏼😎
The diesel oil is much better than most conventional oils diesel oils have more zinc which is more beneficial to the longevity of small engines
Yea about a week later I took my work truck to the mechanic and asked him about it and they also said the diesel oil would not have hurt it, and probably would have been better actually
And good shit Russ beautiful work as always
Great informative video thank you.
Used it can confirm worth the money.
I was thinking about getting one of those was really unsure but now I’m getting one.
Yea I highly recommend. Good bang for your buck 👏
Thank you I just bought the same one based on your review (happy holidays)
What’s the farthest distance between each post?? Are you going to put 6x6 beams on top?
This one was like 14' from post to post and I think we used a 6x10 glu lam beam here
Really surprises me how expensive construction is today. Back the. Construction costed a lot because everything was done by hand, with hard sweat and bones. Now 10k can be the average price of a good 2 days work.
We run around 2000 per day for labor and materials
OMG!!
😂😂😂
That’s the cheapest most unprofessional build ive seen in a while 12,000 shame on you your post holes should not be bigger then 8” in diameter you should check out the international builders code sometime
lol. where are you from? And besides the post holes being SMALLER, what would you do different?
nice documentary style, can't wait to see the movie... 😆
what state are you located in, good looking patio cover
Tucson Arizona
Im about to order just a versatube frame i think. People all the time selling good used metal or companies having bundle deals. Think i can save about a grand $ . Helps that I'm not in any big hurry. Plus it'll be 40 foot long and I'm very much trying to do it in 2 goes with 20 foot panels. Think i determined id only need 12 panels. 16 if I want it to come down over the sides more but that could be added later
Nailing it off! Looks like you're nailing it on.
I had bang galvy 16’s flush
You do know that it is also code that the plywood sheets have to run opposite of the choices, not parallel, like what you are doing
wtf are you talking about bub
Are you blind?
👂🏾 listen up Mexicans this is for you guys
6” on the edge. 8” in the field. BOCA This guy is NOT licensed, does NOT know the code, was taught WRONG, and is NOT someone to profess how to build.
😂 that “guy” is me. And yes I am licensed. General contractor in my state. Also; in Arizona; 6&12 is the code . Codes are different in different states Chill out
That's half or less what it should be. I'm guessing that's SE AZ.
Your nail gun should be sideways for a dramatic approach.
This is why there should be a code nationwide for roofing overall it's what home owner and architect wants and what manufacturer requires same goes for shingles each shingle has it's own nailing pattern as well.
that is how you nail off plywood not having all your sheets down having to pick up and down your nail gun and penetrating the the sheets way pass flush . Penny size is the standard unit of measurement for nails on every specific detail I have seen and why are you not tied off if your telling us how to do work per code ? Stay out of my way
Nr83a
12K😂 the amigos do it for quarter of the price and do it better
I've seen it three and six four and eight depends on the code yeah that's pretty much the gist of it
Strange! I don't buy it!
Perimeter and field kiddo. No one says edge
I don’t know who u calling kiddo but this guy is an adult
The one guy on the ground, “Whatcha doin?”
*pulls out dick to measure spacing* 😏
Outside is 6 inches inside is 8 inches and you never fasten osb or plywood with smooth shank nails like this fella, ring shanks prevent lift and squeaks if you’re gonna use short smooth shanks you should put a few screws or at the very least drive every other one at an angle so it doesn’t pull as easy. I don’t know about where you are but my 2021 IRC code book specifies ring shanks for sheathing
Standard code is 6 inches on the seams and 8 inches in the field. Your materials expand and contract a lot if you go 12 inches in the field, you Risk nails popping up.
10k. I been charging way too low.
$12K? That's about 4 times what that patio cover should cost.
Where r u located ?
Great-WORK-MUSIC!!! Motivational!!
“ so anyway, I just started blastin “
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Good to know
And just remember one final thing never build anything to code it's too low of a standard....
1. The IRC does establish the codes snd most states and cities follow. 2. Don't nail always Screw and use adhesive. 3. If it's subfloor use 3/4" T&G Plywood. 4. NEVER use OSB and that includes ZipShit 5. Edge Screw every 3-4 inches offset, field every 6-8". 6. When saying per code, cite the actual code, whether it's the IRC, State UCC and or any city or borough addendums.
Go ahead and screw that whole thing down bud, I’ll have 3 decks done by the time you finish one 😂. Glue and ring shanks all you need
@scoutullreich-ov9xf well Fortunately for me I've been in construction for 57 years 40 of those years I've been doing forensic analysis of construction deficiencies and failures. I've seen plenty of failures with ring shank nails. And it's okay to have lower end construction that you do. I've always worked in the carriage trade (translation very high end) and therefore me and my customers expect the best of the best. Plus I always teach everybody the things that aren't easily fixed do the 100% correct the first time around. And with a collated screw gun things go certainly quick enough. And I'm not worried about speed as much as I am worried about quality. And that's why European contractors laughing American contractors because for the most part they build disposable structures that aren't meant to last, I build to last many lifetimes.
@scoutullreich-ov9xf and you can certainly up your game and use scrails......
@@garryallan824can I screw down my roof sheathing plywood? How will the next guy pry the screws out during next roof replacement?
@claireh.7605 absolutely you can screw down your roof sheathing, your exterior wall sheathing and your subfloor , ALL of which should be PLYWOOD ONLY. Screwing down your sheathing has nothing to do with the type of roofing underlayment, i.e Gracie, GAF, 30lb felt and shingles you put down. It's easy to do a 30-50 year shingle. Use solid 1x or plywood and you won't be replacing the sheathing, just the shingles and underlayment
You should mention how important it is to leave nails flush to the plywood. Over driven nails lose their shear strength.
Depends on what state you live in, some are 8/12 down in Florida in key west it’s 4/8
Nobody cares about Florida
@@TheBigsmiles62you do babe.
Wow
I need a tutorial on how to get a 1 x 1 lego piece unstuck lol But nice *insert thumbs up emoji*
Awesome work!!
Thank you! Cheers!
No H clips in the code?
Not for 5/8 on 24” centers Maybe 1/2” plywood yea I’d throw the clips in
When you're on St Pete Beach the field is 4 in
The problem with something like this is codes are different everywhere but I appreciate the guy trying
Pretty universal for roof nailing...
I’ve never seen it different than that. I’ve worked in different states
@bigdw9545 perfect example Florida is 4 and 6
I was taught every 6 and 8
On commercial it can be totally different and more...
Don't come try and build anything in Florida.😊
