One raw POV session from a fun surf out at the Peak in Krui, South Sumatra. Super fun little wave that offers mainly a little tube at the start. Going to have some more videos coming soon as the Indo trip continues.

The last Winter swell provided us a pristine day of surfing at home. Got to surf with some of my favourite surfers growing up. We shared some barrels at Snapper and navigated the odd backwash but a fun day with good people. Once the swell backed off we found ourselves hitting the course for 9 holes. I hope you enjoy. Recently went and had a fun weekend away with good friend and old comp travel partner Wade Carmichael. One of the best runs of swell in quite some time happened over the past weekend. We surfed all day for a week straight driving up and down the coast following sand banks and wind changes. The Sandbank at Snapper is basically as good as it gets at the moment. Took the camera for a session while there was some fun waves around and dodged some fellow surfers while trying to get a few tubes. It made for a pretty fun session, hope you enjoy.

There was a lot of waves to be had
Waste of time and energy trying to surf this place. Been like this since 90s. Better off going for a short drive south and getting a whole beachie to yaself. It would be 3ft bigger too.
Better off just moving to the south coast. Anywhere from Newcastle to Nowra. Reef breaks, points and slabs, and awesome empty beachies. Good waves all year round, minimal crowds. Odd sea urchin in ya foot. I spent a decade on the goldy and sunny coast. Least waves in my life, had to wait once or twice a year for a half decent 4ft swell, and then there was hundreds in the lineup. Its just not even a comparison. Ever surfed Redsands? Aussie Pipe? Cowries? Sandon Point?

Same, surfed Goldy and Sunny Coast most of my life but just did a gig for work in Newcastle for a year and surfed my heart out, can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on

i've also got a board with an INSANE double concave going all the way up to my chest. I cant figure out if i love the board or hate it 🤣, it all depends on the conditions.
Hahaha, very condition depending board. Once I figured out where to have my weight it was a great board.

It was fun to watch almost all the video. However, catching a fish, recording it for who knows how many minutes out of the water, and then throwing it back into the sea like it was a rock is very disrespectful, in my opinion. I have to dislike it because of that
Glad you liked most of the video. Regarding the fish, it was out of the water for less than a minute. It also survived. No disrespect was intended

Oi a nice walk over the hill and before you hit the other popular longboard spot is a fun right, a little fatter but still fun, myself and another lucked out and got it to ourselves for a few hours before more peeps. I wasnt alive 50 years ago either but i rekon that was as close as i will get to that feeling. Rock offing first without seeing anyone else. The heart was racing a little and the legs wernt really flailing around in between waves in the greenish water but.
Sounds epic, I’ll have to check it out next time
