unfair comparison US and BGC. I live in NYC far from midtown my HOA / association due for a small studio in an old building is $450/ month yes $450/ month and i own my apartment, there are no amenities just a lobby, a basement for laundry and trash and 1 elevator. it has 1 employee the super who is not the best. Despite that i know other buildings may have higher maintenance. so i am content this is the price for living in NYC. So all you in BGC, in Makati, etc you have security, you have front desk, you have swimming pool and your association fee is what P5000/ month of course things break. ask them nicely to fix, participate in you HOA meeting and do your part in being careful with the building. remember that is the price you pay for all the convenience living in the center of things.

Overpriced. Just rent out multifamily houses if youre from the US. Too expensive and risky to invest in the Philippines.

Also, why do you have to come back after 3 days when you pay for express lane? I thought you're supposed to get it on the same day. Just like when renewing visa. Coz regular lane means you have to get back on the following day to get your visa. Hope you still notice this :)

That’s the main reasons why I don’t buy Condo in the Phillipines..Not only it’s tooo overpriced but also it’s tooo small for a family w/ kids..Basically Condo in the Phillipines is only for bachelor w/ a lot of Money to throw away..I’d rather put my money in the U.S than buying Condo investment in the Phillipimes..Sorry to hear Jay about your dilemma and frustrating experience owning condo in BGC which is considered the No.1 high end Condo in Manila..

Hi Jay. We're both Canadians and we have changed our permanent residency back to Canada this year after living in the Philippines for 18 years full-time. We still have our active I-Card and we visited Canada this year and came back to the Philippines on October 05, 2024. We're flying back to Canada on March 18, 2025 for 7 months and it's NOT 6 months that we're here in the Philippines anymore till the next flight out (March 18). Are we exempted from paying the ECC fee at the airport now? Cheers and thank you.

And read many posts of people living there who state unreliable internet and brown outs of electricity. Oh yea, so you find one or two areas where there is fast internet.......when it is running and has not crashed.

BGC and condo's in general are too expensive and very high maintenance in Philippines. They dont make it easy for normal filipino's to own one. Philippines has to promote condo/apartments/flats etc as the main point of residence since we dont have any landspace to accomodate everyone. Its more costly for us in terms of environment/resource etc . But developers are too greedy and dont make it easy. And its actually more cheaper to own a house still. Phillippine govt should help as well and maybe subsidized some of the cost (tax breaks etc)....Dont buy condo at their current price and maintenance

This is entirely a scam for foreigners, you will get the "clearance" from Immigration, and you pass through the "immigration" at the airport. Why wouldn't the guy at the airport be able to see if you have so called "obligation" from the computer at the port of exit? They are of the same agency.

Just received mine in the UK, 2.5 years after this monitor was released. This is undoubtedly a widespread issue worldwide, I think it is shameful how I never heard about this issue once in any review I watched.

Honestly worst layout I have ever seen. It was a 2 bedroom but actually u cannot fit a bed in one of the rooms. The living and dining makes it impossible to layout the furniture appropriately due to protruding walls. The balconies are too small! you cannot fit any chairs. Also doesn't have an Aircon piping provision so u have to redo the ceiling. 😢 The only thing I like about the seasons is that it is earthquake proof, bathrooms are ok.

It is ok to gey the ECC card at the airport if you didnt get it yet to the immigration ? Is there any problem at the airport when the day to travel without showing the ECC?

actually, globe fiber will also work even without electricity, you just need a power source like powerbank with step up converter cable plugged in in the router and your good to go.
