A video showing how beautiful the Prussian capital of Berlin was before it was obliterated by the Allied terror-bombing campaign in WWII. The video includes colour footage of the glorious Königliches Schloß, the Berlin Royal Palace (which survived the war, but was barbarically torn down by the postwar Marxist regime of East Germany for ideological reasons). It also displays the original look of...

Rehden: Ordensburg (Teutonic Knights' Castle) - scale model
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.12 лет назад
This video presents a 360-degree walkaround of a splendid model of the now-ruined Ordensburg (Teutonic Knights' castle) in Rehden, in East Prussia a rightfully German territory which was stolen from the Fatherland after WWII and is now in foreign hands. The Ordensburg in Rehden was once the second-greatest castle of the Teutonic Knights, after Marienburg. Today, alas, only a ruined fragment of ...

Marienburg castle in West Prussia was built by the German Teutonic Knights in 1274. All of the 14 million eastern German inhabitants were ethnically cleansed from eastern Germany and replaced by Polish 1945-1950

The Germans would whip the romans anytime! now or 2,000 years ago! We were created for war and all know of this, stop making excuses for the romans. Because we came through many more times after this and fucked them up some more! And who the fuck is a Barbarian? A men who loves and protects his family? Preferring death over slavery.... Or some roman who fucks boys in the ass, while secretly plotting on his best friends life.... Give me a German.... One who speaks there mind, dies for there family & people, But will take care of a stranger like family..... Living in mother earth as she intended

other accounts have the romans @ very close to 30,000(just under 10,000 for each legion) then plus 15,000 to 25,000 "followers- logistical-maintenance support", just under 1 follower for each soldier, most all of the followers were killed or captured. a big mess since none or very few were buried. soldiers were stripped of any valued clothing, armor & very prized weapons. regards

also, there was very bad axis bombing in the UK, and after 1945 east berlin historic monuments were demolished, "Historic vandalism" communist-socialist ugly buldings and very bad urban planing, in 2019, the area around the " Berlin Dom" will look something like 1936-in 2019 in this footage, as the royal palace and gardens, are being re-constructed, of course there are major changes like alexanderplatz and modern buildings too in the mix...

I think of how one has to become a child again...That time in our lives when we are immortal...Because we have no knowledge of death...or maybe because we have little to no knowledge of life...Or maybe it is because we still have those memories of coming from a place where we were truly immortal...

That passage from Novalis's The Blue Flower reminds me irresistibly of the tone of Werther during his rapid ascent to the heights which precipitates his fall, and of Goethe's way of conjuring episodes in his own youth. Does anyone else out there wish they could also do that? Of course, with Goethe I consider young adulthood and not childhood as the golden age, since only then do we enjoy the advantages of mastery over our surroundings that is lacking in childhood, combined with the exuberance of feeling that is lacking in age. It's when the best of both worlds mingle most beautifully.

Loved those words from Chateaubriand, I identify with that. I never love a garden or a park, still less a farm, as much as living wilderness - and there is so little left in the UK, almost all forests are chopped down and those that remain are not virgin. The last bit of virgin forest in Europe is in east Poland. There is a different feeling to wild nature, you don't know what I'm talking about unless you can sense the life energy of plants and animals as I can. We have shut ourselves up in brick and concrete cages bounded by tarmac and have lost awareness of the otherness and vitality of nature - but some of us are re-awakened to it at least when we are temporarily back in it.

That North Sea seen was wonderful, but was her husband Harlan trying to kill her, I mean that scene and the one where she enters the tiger cage on a horse must have scared the living daylights out of her.

That's the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, a magnificent 19th-century Historicist edifice that stood right by Bahnhof Zoo. It was bombed in the war and today, only a fragment of the shattered tower remains standing, "as a monument to the horrors of war" (or so they say).
