The Penobscot Narrows bridge
Просмотров 302 месяца назад
If you are near Acadia National Park you should take the drive out to the Penobscot Narrows bridge and take the elevator ride up one of the towers of this cable stay bridge. It provides a commanding view of the area (you can see Cadillac Mountain 20 miles away). At the top is a 3 level, enclosed observation deck with beautiful views. At the time of this posting, the cost is $9/adult to visit th...

Such a cool place
It was fun to walk through! (Less fun to spend a bunch of $$ 😂)
Would go broke there! 🤣
That can happen quickly! 😂
I wonder how much some of that inventory moves, or if the majority of it just hangs out in the same spots for years and years
You could be right but I know we did our share!😊

Yikes-I think I could hear the planks creaking! Don’t like heights, I’ve seen enough. Getting that nervous stomach feeling
@@forestridgecampground2483 makes the adventure more exciting!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! My husband and I have been visiting Colonial Williamsburg for years, and we have always stayed in one of the Colonial houses. We actually just got back a few days ago. We stayed at the Richard Crump house this year. Those painted floor coverings are actually called floorcloths. I'm a retired Master Stenciler and I've made several of them. They're very time consuming to make, but so beautiful! If made correctly, they last for many years.
@@sewcrazybaker thank you for your insight! They are beautiful and we were so thankful to be able to stay at the Moody house. We’ve been visiting Colonial with our kids since the mid 90’s and we find something different each time go.
We are heading back next month and will be staying in the Lightfoot tenement. Have you stayed there?
I hear that loud ice machine
@@tom4342 we couldn’t hear it in the room
Looks like a very cool trip!!!
@@AmericanDetection it was an awesome trip!
"You almost killed Rickles!"
Very nice. I sure would like to visit there one day.😊Lucky.
It was a wonderful experience. I don’t know that will ever get to stay there again, but we’re thankful for this one stay.
Loved it thanks
You’re welcome!
This is one of my favorite places to stay; the proximity to the Colonial area, and the use of the amenities at the Inn make it really the best value.
Mine too!
It was pretty cool and our guide was great
they probably should have remodeled it during Covid when no one was visiting. We’ve always stayed at the Lodge. I’ve always wondered what it looked like inside. Thanks for the video.
We’ve stayed at the Lodge as well (and both versions of the Woodlands). We had never stated the Griffin and we needed one night before our stay at a colonial house. I was curious so we reserved this room. The lodge is now run by Marriott. We had stayed there before Marriott took over and after. Didn’t notice much of a change. We’ve always liked the lodge as well, but recently have been staying in colonial taverns. We are going again this spring and have a three night stay at the Griffin.
@@markmlynarski1386 hopefully, at some point in time we will stay at one of the colonial houses.
@@daveo2821 during the winter months you can get the tavern rooms at reasonable prices. I have videos of the Brickhouse Tavern on the Duke of Gloucester street and the Chiswell Bucktrout house. Both have multiple rooms in each but each has a private bathroom. The prices were comparable to the lodge. The houses are a little more expensive.
Thanks for sharing. So historic.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid. Did you guys have any mold problems when you pulled it out?
Not at all. We do put damp rid in the trailer and remove the couch cushions
What building is this in
This is the Brickhouse Tavern. It’s near the blacksmith
Saw him live in New Castle Pennsylvania. It was a good time. Great Guy Donnie. God bless you Always.......
so Awesome!

Hey Dawnie! Where’d you get dem pants????? PANTS N’AT!

Beautiful❤️thank you for sharing.
They get rid of all the zombies?
That is so cool. I assume with it being a cave it stays at a pretty constant temperature correct? It’s like being at a bigRV lot or a show with all the different brands. Lol At least you know where to go when the zombies come. Hahaha
True! 😂
And yes, it stays in the upper 50’s
A seat belt would of come in handy in situations like this...😁
She was ready beat some butts!!! Lol Fighter lvl 99!
She has amazing hidden skills.
I didn't know that it was like that in the back.😮
I think it’s relatively new.

You had me excited until I realized you were storing Carl for the winter. I don't remember where it is but there is a HUGE cave someplace in the northern region where they converted the cave into a campground. It looks pretty cool. I can't believe how quiet it was while you were waiting. Thanks for sharing! Steve
We’ve stored Carl here before- cool place!
Over eight minutes of footage and not an inflatable snowman in sight.
We’re broadening our horizons
I love watching your videos...so beautiful ❤️
So peaceful🌻
the place where they filmed the day of the dead is amazing grettings from México
Go ahead Karen...I'll time you🤭
Wow! Beautiful😊
How do you guys have authorization to store Carl in NORAD? 🤣
😃The design drawings for the stealth are secretly stored in C@rl’s windshield.....Shhhhhhhhhhh.
No more movie references for you Karen

So close Karen.....such a book traveler you are😊
The big regret: Leaving the orchid at home.
Yep
"I wish you would've used C@rl's first name." LOL!! Picking up the trailer from trailer camp!!
Watch out for those Adirondacks carried by Daniel Boon!! Loved that part of the Avengers.

Wow, what was that fox 🦊 doing out there? I hope he's able to get back safely.
The lake was very frozen. You don’t often see them during the day but with the cold I guess he was searching for some food
Looks like a killer place. Are you going to startup a full channel? I like that bathroom. Looks like you are living the dream there.
No full channel. Just an easy way to share with friends and family. It was pretty cool. Originally we were in a cabin which was heated but no indoor plumbing. We moved because the temps were going to be low and we wanted a bathroom. We got a whole lot more. LOL
That looks cool. In ground tubs/jacuzzis really weird me out though. I'd be so worried about tripping and falling in. Lol
Thanks for sharing your journey through the National Parks. The scenery is breathtaking. We just Subbed and rang the notification bell 🔔 and we're looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Come by and say hi.
