WHAT ABOUT EXTREMELY HARD CLAY?
I am having trouble locating a trim ring for my 6 in. Helo can. Can you tell me where you got your trim ring, which is exactly what I am looking for. If you have a part number, I would appreciate it. Thx
They sell them at Home Depot and lows. The drain weasel gadgets are really handy but they are one use and can be expensive over time, plus the plastic ones are REALLY flexible and it’s easy to lose control of them bc they whip around too easily which is 🤢. This is great and appreciate the info, I’m a new subscriber now. Your helper is awesome too ❤ I have a metal gadget on my tub now, it has like a basket and a stopper on it, it definitely stops most of the hair at the surface. It has to be cleaned daily, but it sure beats clearing out something that’s been sitting in a drain.
The drain weasel works good. It’s a pain to clean the hair off of it. You can cut the hair off with a razor knife.
If my asphalt driveway was only 3 feet across and not 13, then yes this would work.
I’ve used this method to run 1” copper pipe under a 2 care wide drive way. It’s definitely not easy but can be done
Super helpful. TY
No problem. Glad to help

What sink and faucet is that ?
I’m not sure. The sink was from home depot and the faucet came from Amazon. That’s all I know
Best explanation!!!
Thanks
I am just putting in a new vessel sink, same size as the old one. What do I do?
You can use the same method. If the old sink drain hole throw the counter top is a tight fit that will help it line up so it’s in the same spot.
You can also tighten the nut on the gate valve and it will fix it. Leave the valve hooked up, with the water running turn the valve open and closed to flush out the crud. Open the valve all the way and then 1/4 turn back in. Hold the body of the valve with a wrench and then tighten the nut just behind the valve handle. This works 95% of the time.
I always get the 5% percent that it doesn’t work
Thank you!! I got you subscribed! And liked! I appreciate this video.
No problem. Thanks for subscribing
That tool looks way better than the "handle puller" ( with the ring remover) type... I did get that wrench that replumb used that's like sideways slip crescent wrench type thing. Great video.
I have that tool also. It works good.
Great tip. What if you have an old style drain that has a grate over the face?
Does it have a screw in the center? I would remove it then clean everything out
Plumbers are all crooks.
Thank you so much for this video. I followed All your steps and got it fixed!
Nice work
Nope. This is the 10th video (so far) how to fix the hinge on the door FRAME side. Everyone knows this fix because the frame is a solid piece of wood. Why not show the difficult fix on the actual DOOR side where the door is hollow inside? I've used those plastic drywall screw insets to varying, sometimes lasting, sometimes temporary success but I would like to know a more professional, longer lasting fix for HOLLOW door holes that have no backing to put dowels or toothpicks into. Not solid door frames. That's easy. Please. Where are the real fix-it men?
It’s the same fix for both sides. All hallow doors have a wood side strip that the screws go in. It should be 1” to 1”1/2 think. I’ve used this method on lots of doors and have never had a problem. The plastic drywall anchors are garbage do not use them. If the wood is split where the screws go inject some super glue in the crack and clamp it together. You can also use super glue in the holes with some type of wood. Let me know how it goes
Thank you for your reply Kyle. Appreciated. But this hollow door is not even close to one inch. It’s probably like 1/8 …maybe 1/4 but doubtful. So you try to do the wood/dowel/glue thing and it can never set. Or even if you got it to set, it would just pop out. I’m not sure if I can post images but if you saw how thin it is, you’d understand. Y’know what, I’m going to try it again anyway. Maybe I’ll figure out how to make it work or just talking about it will renew my thinking on it. But I’m very doubtful. It’s like, wafer-thin. The door doesn’t seem like it’d be that thin looking at it. It’s not like it’s a total POS. It seems like a structurally fine, modern bedroom door. It’s just super thin after drilling out the holes. I’ll wish myself good luck ;) Thanks again for the reply.
I might try wood plastic or a sandals epoxy at that point I'm about to try it painters fucked up brand new door lol
Why would you make such a terrible thumbnail, first impressions matter.
How about you design me one and I’ll post it on the video.
Awesome. You got to the important part without a long buildup.
That was the goal. I always hate when people make videos and the first few minutes are them taking about something other that the videos title.
Great video funny how you shook the hose at the end of the drain 😊
I guess is a habitat I have
ruclips.net/video/Ugv03rs2pBw/видео.html
Much easier way, especially when shut off valve is soldered. Loosen the nut closest to the handle. Unscrew the handle until the guts come out. Then you do the same thing with the new valve and put it into the old valve housing. Done... you will have to get the same brand valve(usually stamped on the handle)
You could do that but then you are left with a old looking valve.
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle At least it would match the one next to it. Does anyone really care about the looks of a shut off valve? If you have to break out the torch for your repair, it can get complicated and go beyond the skills of most people.
This is awesome! I was watching your other videos and then saw this
Thanks. It’s a lot of fun to take it out on Halloween
Wow! Amazing work!!
I upgraded the legs last Halloween to look like gorilla hair. I posted a shot of me wearing them
Very clear and helpful. Great job!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video. Question: I'd like to use an LED bulb with a G24q base. After I bypass the ballast, can I put the two hot wires (red) from the G24 plug in the same wire nut as the house hot (black) wire from the Romex? And put the two neutral wires (blue) in the same wire nut with the common (white) wire from the Romex? Thanks!
That all depend if the new led lights are made to work with the ballast or they have to be re wired to bypass it. I’ve never used them so not familiar on how to do this. If the new bulbs are made to bypass the ballast then it should have instructions on how to wire them up. Most likely you would connect them the way you said. Let me know how it goes. I’m interested in finding out how these bulbs work. Most of the time I replace this style socket because the lights are hard to remove because the bulbs always break. Maybe the led bulbs are more durable that the glass tubes.
grasias that was realy helpful
No problem. Good luck with your project.
Awesome instruction! Thanks man!
Thanks
What happens in later years? Will it eventually strip again or will it last forever?
It should last along time. Nothing last forever
Hello greetings, just wondering how the Amazon Ac Compressor holding up so far? Needing to replace mine.✌️ Great video btw
It still works good
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle 😂 right on man !! thx
No vanity no sink above it. yeah of course it’s an easy fix. No laying on your back and you have great light
I’ve done it all. I know it adds some difficulty when the vanity is installed. It would be hard to film this video with it installed.
Thanks for sharing this with us. You made it look easy. We shall see…wish me luck!
Good luck
How would you suggest I fix a gap under a sliding (rail) fence gate close to the bottom of a ramp. Don't want my small dog sticking his head under it. Thx.
Film a video of the gate and what you want and post the link here so I can see it
Unless your a sick old man you should be able to lift that beams up brrrooo
Your strong enough to lift a 16 foot 10x10 that weighs between 400 and 500 lbs up 10 feet in the air using a ladder? You must be the world strong man. I must be a week old man. Even if I was strong enough to do that it’s not as safe. My chain hoists mad it easy to adjust the beam position. I had 4 guys deliver the beam and we had a hard time moving it at ground level.
How do you pull the air compressor gear? Advice would be much appreciated.
I think it’s permanently connected to the compressor. Why do you need to remove that gear?
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle need to replace a broken stud for the air compressor. It somehow snapped off and weeps engine oil.
I have never seen these before, today struggled with standard toggle bolts to install a wall mounted storage in apt Reno. You should of left a link for them but should be easy to find.
They sell them at Lowe’s
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle Home hardware has them also. What a game changer.
Once removing the old compression fitting the copper pipe isnt deformed? I was thinking i needed to cut off the used part but would rather not
If someone over tightened the nut it could deform. They make some removal tools that have a metal pice that goes on the inside of the pipe to keep it the proper size
So helpful!
Thanks
I notice on the side of you your vanity a sprayer, I want to install a sprayer next to my toilet but I want to have temperature control to it from the wall mount sink fixture, how can I do this?
It’s a bidet style toilet seat not a sprayer. To have a sprayer temp controlled you would need it connected to the hot and cold and have a way to adjust or mix the water for the right temp. I found this one on Amazon. a.co/d/4CtE4Yg
Good Job ! Yeah, I need that Puller Thanks !
Try to find a good one. Some are better at keeping the pipe the same diameter when putting off the ring
Door was fine until I changed the hinges
Your old hinges had more tension in them. Just bend the pins and that should fix it.
My 16 year old son is gonna be busy in the next couple of days. I’m not paying 600 for demo and a 1300 dollar install for a 220 sqft job. These comments are amazing. Thanks for the content.
Sounds great! It always good to save money
Why is the toilet still there?!
I left it on so I could use it. I was replacing it anyway. Sometimes I keep the old toilet bowl around and if I need to go I just set it back on the pipe.
This hammer+hose method is (hopefully) what I've been looking for. I'd seen hydroexcavation in a lot of videos, but my walkway doesn't have a strong foundation and I'm worried about washing away too much dirt.
I hope it works out for you. Let us know how it goes.
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle it worked pretty well! I didn't have a pressure washer but a normal hose + drain snake worked for clearing out the dirt in the tube. Unfortunately I wasn't down deep enough and the pipe turned upwards a bit, so I ended up messing up the brick a bit anyway. Very solvable. Thanks for the video!
Why not just use wire?
Because the gap under the gate gets smaller when it opens. If it got bigger then I could do that.
how did you clean up the pipe so nicely at the end? the wd-40 + scotch brite trick i know of would have taken an eternity
It’s called a flap wheel. I got it at Ace hardware. It’s has 120 grit sandpaper flaps and scotch brite pads sandwiched between. It’s looks similar to these I found on Amazon minis the scotch brite pads. a.co/d/bgJG3ta
It probably took me 30 minutes to clean up and I did spray it with wd-40
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle thanks!
I’m going to do this tomorrow
Good luck and be safe. Let me know how it went.
thanks for putting this ...helpful
No problem
Zip toggles are my preference.
They are the best sheet rock anchor.
How do you replace the dirt that was displaced around the pipes underneath the concrete?
Try your best to not take out so much. If you do need to re pack the dirt use a board to push dirt back around the pipe and tamp it in with a hammer
I'm gonna start changing all valves at this motel, I'm the new handyman and I'm always learning :3
That’s great. Make sure you get a good puller tool. Try finding one that has a steel pice that extends into the copper pipe to keep it from deforming when you remove the nut and ring. Sometimes people over tighten the ring and it crushes the pipe and when you pull it off it deforms the pipe and when you go to install your new valve it doesn’t seal right.
Good job . Very sisinct .
Thanks
