People need to remember a lot of these guys were 14-20. Most lost themselves in postwar life, some commited suicide, some had PTSD, some couldn’t even get work. Some became amputees, almost all of them lost their teenage years which is supposed to be fun. But most importantly, 9.7 million boys and young men lost their lives. They lost a chance to grow old, enjoy life, have a family, have a lover. They lost to a game they didn’t have chance to play in. Same with other wars. Our generation should be thankful that our servicemen and women are placing their lives on the line to defend ours. Bless those who died in WW1 🫡

I consider this game to be the top FPS in the series and one that took down CoD. Then, someone had the bright idea to remove all what BF1 had and have only one good campaign story (The Last Tiger) in BFV. I still come back to this game to try and achieve max rank and unlock all weapons (looking at you peacekeeper).

Right let me tell you now. I have memories of playing Mud And Blood at a friends house in 2017. Was real young back then but i remember it being fun. FF to like 2021, i decide to open up my old xbox one and get a gamepass subsciption. I see battlefield 1 and i remember that fateful trudge through Cambrai and boy, this intro straight away told me "welcome back dude" i fucking loved it so much. It was such a good intro.

I don't think most people really grasp just how horrific the first world war really was, it was four years of bloody, dirty melee, with no true reason other than human ambition and hubris. It's hard to grasp, but I'll be damned if content like this doesn't get close.
