The church gathers in a combined service in the Worship & Event Center to celebrate the ordination of Pastor Selma Gamboa. Joel Peña, pastor of the Alpha & Omega COB in Lancaster, preaches from the story of Jonah, and District Executive Pete Kontra conducts the ordination service.
The service is primarily in Spanish with interpretation provided Dawn Sandoval. Dawn and her husband, Ever, provide special music; the LCOB Praise Team leads singing in English and Spanish; and the Chancel Choir sings an arrangement of “Here I Am, Lord.” Children also sing during the service.
