Metroid Prime is fun
Temple Lobby Softlock
You can break the scripting for the door through the following game events:
1. Opening the Temple Security Station Door towards Temple Lobby with a PB
2. Transitioning to Temple Lobby
3. Exiting the Temple Security Station door open trigger which causes the door to close
4. Remotely re-hitting that same door with the PB because PBs deal damage over the entire animation. Since the player is in Temple Lobby, this activates the Temple Lobby door open trigger instead of the Temple Security Station
5. Entering that trigger because it spawns around you
6. Leaving the trigger before the door open animation can complete
7. Unloading Temple Security Station (unsure if this is required)
This leaves the doo...

I had SJ. The setup would probably be different for NSJ. 1. Hold L 2. Wedge in corner 3. Left stick neutral 4. Jump twice as shown 5. Release L 6. Morph 7. Map screen 8. Buffer right notch 9. The dip to the left at 0:25 is deliberate as you can sometimes miss the load trigger there. Have to release and re-press L at 1:15 in order to get full influence back. Ideally you land in aether at 2:00 so you can just grab the missile from the side. The dash is the hardest part. It can be skipped with a bunch of aether jumping.

Walking into the tunnel instead of rolling into it lets you have control over Samus when you go up the pipe. Since you have control, you can hold left (or right) to avoid the trigger that receives the player and reset the room.

Wait, can you explain how this happened? IIRC, rooms in Prime didn’t open up until they had uploaded from memory and that’s part of the reason Retro let only one door open at a time in any given room. It also would prevent such an act of speed happening like in this video. Unless you modded or hacked? Prime hack? Idk I’m just curious and want to know
I basically spend all of my free time developing new mods for this game. I deleted the door part of all doors in this instance.
