An Ode to the Girl with the Glasses [Hololive Tribute Song]
A final tribute to the one and only Yuujin A, better known as A-chan, Hololive's dedicated staff member. Today, June 30, 2024, marks the end of her journey with Hololive, a journey which has lasted seven incredible years, all in pursuit of helping her friend Sora, as well as the friends they made along the way, achieve the goal of being the world's most amazing idols. In my opinion, they more than succeeded.
To A-chan:
On the off chance you ever find this, all I can say is thank you. Your hard work and dedication have paid off more than I'm sure you could have ever dreamed of. Always remember that you are loved, not just by your friends, or the company you helped flourish, but by millions a...

Sketch in the Style of Philip Glass [Original Composition]

The Scholar and The Alchemist [Holostars EN Tribute Song]

A little tribute song to @NoirVesper and @MagniDezmond. Today, August 31st is the day of their graduation from Holostars English, and their retirement from the Guild TEMPUS. It was a crazy year with them. They, along with the other TEMPUS boys, were part of what inspired me to get back into content creation. I wish them the best on their future endeavors. Interplanetary (Original Composition)
Просмотров 90Год назад
Interplanetary is an old electronic composition of mine that I decided to dust off. Electronic Music isn't necessarily a forte of mine, but I wanted to give it a shot. I wrote a nice little bass loop and built around it. This song is actually about 3 years old. I had originally planned on including it in a space themed electronic instrumental EP, but the project sadly fell though. Funny enough,...

that was so interesting, i'd love to see more analyses of calli's music like that, L4DL is one of her most underrated songs in my opinion
I’ve definitely got more plans to cover Calli’s music. With a discography as big as hers, there’s a treasure trove of music to sift through.

as a music nerd, a deadbeat, and undiagnosed adhd haver, this video itched my brain in ways that I cannot explain. Thank you
Thanks! More’s coming soon.
Despite the subpar production, this has become one of my favorite albums from hololive as of recent. AZKi's charm and overall best qualities really shine on this one. Also there are just tons of bangers on here. Also helps that I really like Midnight Song lol.
It’s got its charm for sure
AZKi black was something truly special. We really haven't gotten something that brooding in hololive until calli went into a darker rock direction with her last EP. My favorite AZKi songs are probably Error (what a goddamn banger), nanawari enemy (the song that introduced me to AZKi back in 2021 and made me instantly fall in love with her music) and of course Inochi which has the ability to make me tear up instantly to this very day. AZKi's voice is just incredible, both very powerful but also vulnerable and incredibly emotional and soft. This video deserves a lot more attention! Edit: I wonder why you jumped over her 4 2022 singles Afterglow, petrichor, canopus and Equal. As far as I know those songs aren't part of any EP or album.
They were technically consolidated into an EP called Pages, which I plan to cover in a video on her EPs in the future.
@@VirtualDiscog oh good to know i had no idea.
I've recently discovered and explored Sora's discography for myself and I absolutely fell in love with her music in a way that I did not anticipate. Similar to AZKi's big discography, I think her music is kind of forgotten and underappreciated among hololive fans, especially western ones. You made a brilliant video here, enjoyed every second of it! I'm also looking forward to watching your AZKi videos now, please keep doing these!!! Your channel is the only one I know of that covers hololive music in such a detailed and interesting way. Would love to see you update this and cover her latest EP aswell. Especially Star Star Start mightve become my favorite Sora song now! Edit: the last bit of the video was incredible, great work! 🥲
Thank you! I definitely need to make an addendum video in the future.
I love your channel! Really looking forward to what you cook up next!
Thank you!
We will watch your career with great interest.
Much obliged.
@@VirtualDiscog I love your response because I can't tell if you got the reference or not. Either way, I'm exited to see what you have coming!
Oh no, I'm not brave enough for politics. ;)

im glad to see you back !! your videos like the MGO analysis is what i hope to see more of !!!
Thanks for sticking around! I definitely hope to get back to Suisei and MGO at some point. Too much good stuff to leave it be for long.
Kek, never mind a third of a year, at this point I'm subscribed to people who haven't uploaded to this site in over a decade. If the videos are good, you can count on at least 1 view when they're finally uploaded.
I appreciate it. I’ve got plenty of those ghost town channels in my sub feed too. I’m just intent on not becoming one of them.
@@VirtualDiscog Godspeed, friend. Best of success to you.
As someone who is also tumbling bass-ackward through his mid-20s… this is a painfully relatable video…
I suppose there’s a bit of comfort knowing that we’re all just… kinda making it up as we go along.
@@VirtualDiscog indeed, brother. Indeed…
Good luck in the future pal.

We’re so back? Some are saying that’s the case. I wrote up a little community post about what’s been going on and what the future holds: ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0WZaEe9SVJSpQkc9IjHE1V2gWD6OlmQM?feature=shared
This song definitely stood out to me too!!
Hope you can introduce suisei’s original songs :)
I definitely plan to.
Great video :)
Thanks!
My man pulled a whole ass Charles Cornell analysis on a vtuber song. Amazing stuff, I only understand like 40% of what you said but I like it when music people explaining why a song has its magic.
Thanks! As a Charles Cornell fan, that means a lot to even be in the same breath as him.
Ça me fait penser au style des Cowboys Fringants, mais un peu plus relax 🤔.
Je n'avais jamais entendu parler d'eux auparavant. J'ai jeté un coup d'œil à leur musique, et je l'aime bien !Merci de votre réponse !
Love this video! While its not very accessible (talking about modes, inversions & chord extensions when most folks dont know what a triad is 😅) , you do a good job of explaining things. I run into this sort of problem when transcribing music all the time, so this was super interesting from that pov! Good work!!
Thanks! That is kind of the bugaboo when talking about music theory isn't it. 😅
good video, most of her music is amazing, some need sometime to get use too, but she is my favorite singer.
She's incredible! The beloved Daisenpai for a reason.
Well put together. I don't hear the phantom extension...yet. With so many channels analyzing Calli's songwriting, this discourse around the track composition has some untapped but greatly appreciated value. Looking forward to your future dives into other songs from her or Holo in general.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
I'm attending Sora's stage of 5th fes, so I've been diving into her discography, and came across this video. I wonder what song she's gonna perform, probably something recent so my guess would be Ke Sera Sora, since she's usually chosen to close the solo part with an upbeat song.
Have fun at 5th fes, I'm jealous! It wouldn't surprise me if we get either a new song or a cover of some type too.
A few thoughts from a classical musician: 1. Harmonic minor is the default mode. Natural is incredibly rare in music. Even melodic minor (which has an interesting quality of sharp VI and VII, but only when the melody is ascending) is more common. 2. Major V chords are always dominant, courtesy of the leading tone. Adding a 7th only makes it more dominanter. 3. Overtones, interferences and imprints are real, and half of the music we hear is in our heads. 4. This song fucking slaps.
I appreciate the input!
of course i stumble upon this channel as i'm doing a blind listen through hololive's entire discography (excluding covers). entering gen 3 now and i have to say it's been a blast. keep this series going bro, i'll come back to em when i get through it all
Glad you found it.
this is super interesting!! ive always felt a sense of guilt because left for dead lullaby is my least favorite song from J6, but this video is definitely going to make me appreciate the deeper beauty of it. thank you so much for sharing your analysis lol
I really appreciate it!
I don't know anything about music production or anything but I felt that i understood what you were trying to say and that's great I also thought you would have more subscribers after I looked at it after the video, the edits and even the memes and references were nice
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
This is so nerd www. Great job for the analysis! Even the note/chord seems normal to me because I was desensitized by heard alot of tension/dissonant chord. Your enthusiasm to do alot of work to find out the hidden sound in the song, was amazed me.
Haha, thanks! I appreciate it!
Thank you for this video. Before watching it the most interesting thing about the EP for me was the pun in its name. Now you've got me back to thinking about music theory for the first time in a while.
Always glad to get the ideas churning! Glad you liked it.
Huh… Adam Nealy fell down the vTuber rabbit hole? Jokes aside, Mori and her demonic past life, is good at doing funky things that warrant a 2nd and 5th listen. Love the video man, keep up this!
I appreciate it!
ok, yea, interesting video CAN I HAVE A LINK TO THAT ONE CLIP ON 2:23 OF THE GIRLS GOING 'HUH?!'
Unfortunately I got it off Twitter, so I have no clue what the source is lol
me listening to this: yep i definitely understand everything and is not just following along.
I'm not sure I hear what you do when listening to the song, but the idea of it is certainly interesting.
That's kind of the magic of it, I think.
you cant spell extension without tension
This guy gets it.
How is this not demonetized Anyway I enjoyed this video, thanks for popping up on my feed over 50 times in the past 2 days
In truth, most of my videos won't be monotizable when (if) my channel gets monotized as a whole. Which is a sacrifice I'm willing to make, at least in the short term.

It's so good. I'm looking forward to her future projects.
just want to say that this video is a banger. As someone with slightly more musical knowledge than the average commenter in this comment section I loved the deep dive in to who calli's music works. This video reminded me of sideways' video on the avengers theme which i love. Keep up the good work man
I really appreciate it! Sideways was one of my gateways into music theory (along with Adam Neely and Rick Beato) so the fact that you made the connection to him means a lot.
For whatever reason, this popped up in my feed. No idea what's going on but your enthusiasm kept me hooked.
I appreciate it!
I think I agree with your opinion on kotonoha, I have a laptop speaker where the lower registers are very limited, but I can easily hear how the bass's volume is larger than the drum and even comparable to Azki's. My understanding is that the bass should blend together with the drum because they are the rhythm group. I think the mixer messed it up.
