Hey, my name is Tate and I like to build stuff right now my dad and I are working on a log cabin in the middle of the Colorado wilderness. I like to build other stuff to so i'll scatter some other builds in there too. You can expect a new video every Friday night at 5:00 PM. If this sounds like something you might like then please like. You see what I did there?
Splitting 2 Cords of Firewood in 7 Days!
Today, I finally started splitting all the firewood we brought back from our off-the-grid cabin build this summer. It took me about a week to get through it, working after school until dark. The final shots in this video show the woodpile after around three months of use, with fires burning about four times a week, all day long.

I built a floating wall
Просмотров 65628 дней назад
Today, I made a floating shelf wall using some fence pickets I picked up for around $20. I find that making custom floating shelves is way better than buying them. Not only are they cheaper, but you can customize them exactly how you want. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! Today, we rented a skid steer to smooth out our driveway, create a circle drive, bury our septic outlet, and tackle some erosion control work. Building a Custom Rolling Stand for My MASSIVE 200-Pound Jointer
Просмотров 826Месяц назад
Today, I'll be using some scrap wood that cost no more than $20 to build a rolling stand for my very heavy jointer. I bought the jointer for $100 on Facebook Marketplace. To build the stand, I ripped a 2x6 in half using my table saw, then used screws to secure the pieces to the frame of the jointer. After that, I attached the wheels, and now I can easily move and enjoy using my jointer. Here’s ...

Today, I made a huge 20-foot Christmas tree for our front yard! I used metal pipes, tie-down stakes, some scrap metal, and, of course, actual Christmas lights. Thanks for watching. vending machine side hustle $6,000 PER MONTH 🤑
Просмотров 2272 месяца назад
Today, my mom and I took on a vending machine business with a gross income of $6,000 per month. Did we actually make that much, or did the business flop? You'll have to watch to find out! I thought about scrapping this video, but I feel like it's worth documenting and if it gets 100,000 views, I won't be mad!
Get Ready for WINTER by Staining My Log Cabin
Просмотров 4062 месяца назад
Today, we used some stain to waterproof and beautify our log cabin. With winter coming, we had to hurry to beat the snow. The good old Redbirds were playing in the background, and I had to include the part where we gave up eight walks it’s hilariously sad! There's always next year, lol.

I rented a skid steer for my log cabin build | OFF THE GRID
Просмотров 3352 месяца назад
Hey guys! Today, I'm showing you how my dad and I added a new section to our driveway for our semi off-the-grid log cabin build. I drove the skid steer the entire weekend while my dad handled the raking. We took a driveway that was in rough shape and turned it into something I'm happy to use every day. Here's some of the music I used. Song: RetroVision - Puzzle (2024 Edit) [NCS Release] Music p...

Hay my dad has one of those hammers
That’s not a big drill bit. It’s a paint mixing bit.
Ridiculous
Thanks man
Is there a limit to how many trailers you can flip per year? I can’t find any rule after searching online, but I know there is for cars, so I’m curious if there are restrictions for trailers too?
I’m not sure. So far the most I’ve flipped in a year is 3. If there was a limit I’m not sure how they would keep track of it sense I’m buying and selling on Facebook marketplace.
Freaking you doing the wrong way
If only your English teacher didn’t teach you the wrong way. Bro what did you say
I had a stroke reading this
I ain’t seen a square. I see a rectangle a triangle, but no square.
That’s just what it’s called.
@TateMurphyYT That's just not what it's called.
Yes, it's called a speed square because it's used to mark square lines.
It's actually called a carpenters square fyi
it's just called a square
That ain't no fuckin' car battery.
SQUARE? 🤨🤨🤨
Thats what the tool is called
@TateMurphyYT 'Speed square' is the name.
Technically yes but when would you ever call it that on the work site
@TateMurphyYT That's literally what all the trades call it where I come from. It's a speed square.
I guess different places call it different things.
Gabe STOP USING THIS AGAINT ME!!!!!!! I WAS 12

For the truck series (I forgot what it's called) you should flip go karts. Cuz I remember that video about the go karts trailer was the first of your videos I watched.
I could but just recently I spent 4500 on two new projects so I don’t think I will have time left in the challenge to do that but I would like to do that if Facebook marketplace provides.
Nice
Thanks
Great project mate Looks great Good stuff
Thanks, appreciate the comment!
Toyota not even breaking a sweat. Use your greatest tool - your head

Keen to see the tiling and finished result
We are about two film that in about a week so you can expect a video in about a month and a half
@TateMurphyYT awesome 👍 you're videos are very enjoyable I like this stuff ☺️ and I'm sick at home for the last year so thanks for your efforts
Great 👍 stop erosion. Makes sense
Comment!!!
First😝
How come you bury all the old roots and branches in dirt?
It helped with the road erosion. And it’s far easier, cheaper and environmentally better than hauling them to a dump. Thanks for the question
Great upgrade. I'm slowly mobilizing my equipment and it's quite nice for a lot of reasons.
Yeah it is . My in my dream shop I would love to have a bench with a bunch of mobile tool cubes that are interchangeable
Nice dude. Looks super solid. I have the same jointer and it is ridiculous to lug around
Thanks. Glad to hear other people have the same problem. Thanks for the coment
Hey well done!
Thanks man. Appreciate the coment
U got snow already ???
Yeah we got around 16 inches last Thursday
@@TateMurphyYT dang
Nicely done! Flipping is a cool way to learn how to fix things back up and make good money. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I really enjoyed doing it

Thx
Nice work! Hope you learnt a lot! Come so far since i seen your first vid
Yeah, I’m actually learning so much. Tell me about it we’ve been working on this property for around four years now, and since I started filming, I feel like we've made a lot of progress. Thanks for your comments!!!
Love the vid! Bit hard to follow with how much youre moving the camera and showing stuff so quickly, id love to get a slower veiw through
Yeah, I was jumping around a considerable amount. The videos will get better with experience and repetition.
Awesome
thanks man
Awesome vid! Good you can get out and help and learn, i hope it wasnt too boring watching paint dry building assistant tate 😊
Lol, I hadn’t thought of it like that before. Nah, it wasn’t that bad at all. thanks for the comment!!!
Cool idea, would love a more detailed time / cost analysis 🙂 will you be buying one of these machines, does he rent the space for it etc? Thanks great video
Yeah, if I get access to these machines again, I'd love to dig into the details a bit more. But since they're not mine, I don't really have access to the analytics for them.
W idea, this series is basically just giving me side hustles to try.
Haha thanks bro. I’ve noticed you watching my videos pretty consistently. I just want to say thanks. I don’t have very manny returning viewers so I’m happy you are one of the new 😎
@@TateMurphyYT Yeah no problem, all your videos are well made and i like your personality. Keep doing what you're doing and il keep coming back.
Good job Tate -vinny boi
thx
Looks awesome
😊 thanks
Good job bro you deserve way more props than you've gotten on this
Thanks man.
Absolutely finish out the year.
That’s my plan. Thanks for the encouragement!!
That's awesome, love your mind set so young
Thanks man. I’m try to start building something rather than sit on my xbox and phone.
❤good luck guys
Thanks man
Impressive content, Tate Murphy. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! It's interesting to see how the drainage system is being integrated into the driveway expansion. Have you considered any specific types of grass seed that might be more resilient in that area?
Thanks man glad to hear you enjoyed it. For the grass we used the a wild mix our local stores makes just for the rocky ground we have. Thanks for the positivity!😊
Did a very nice job on that trailer. My one question is, did you pay yourself any labor money?
Yeah I sold it for $1,550 and I put around $850 into it including buying the trailer frame. So that leaves me with a profit of $700. I’m estimating I spent around 11 hours on this project so $700 divided by 11 comes out to $63 and some change an hour. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for the question :)
@@TateMurphyYT you always have to remember to pay yourself. Good job kid
I love running a skid steer. A lot of people would rather run a tractor but I can do way more with a skid steer than most can with a tractor can.
Yeah I got pretty familiar with it and I do really like them. I agree that it’s better that a tractor but for utility if the tractor has a back hoe attachment that could be better for thing.
Nice, I like how you did this video
Thanks so much man.
