At this point all new TD games are the same wrapped in different paper with some new QOL features that make people excited for it. While I do admit AV had some new mechanics that other games don't, like all units having "passives" and paragon mode, neither AV or AR are above 7/10. It's hard to tell how the AR developers are going to continue from this point on and we already know how much of a failure AV developers are, but it's just very disappointing to see all new games as of recent never really try anything new besides some small QOL or piggybacking and making additions/changing mechanics recent games have made. At this point I am going to have to do something about it

Lets wait a few months if AR stay being a good TD game after updates. Bcuz i already disappointed of every td games when they are updates example, AV until now upd 2 is still not exist, ALS so many bugs and lag, AD fuck that thats not anime anymore.

The main problem with these games i feel like is the trait system. Its just bad for the longevity of the game. Like you said if the game is too hard and you need the most rarest trait possible then its bad but if it was too easy then its also bad. I just wished they would make a td anime game with no trait system.

Anime reborn is way better than vanguards.. from ehat ive seen they are constistant with fixes and rlly care abt it.. also 1 huge factor y i quit vanguards is the update 1.1 which we waited like a mont for jhst to get 1 evo unit and 1 raid

I dont think anyone would hv a problem with the game being ez cuz miracle is literally ez mode implemented in the game as a trait and i dont think pll would complain that they are beating every stage with their op trait only thing that might happen is the devs making modes harder since everything would be beatable at that point

Based on my own experience the game was refreshing what i liked about it the most was that it had some kind of challenge to it not like av where almost everything was too easy also the units models are rlly good like every unit the gameplay was fine and the feel it had is good ngl in my opinion it's equal to av and will probably push the devs of av to release better updates to compete if the devs of ar has a good updating schedule

All these new tower defense games just keep getting more and more disappointing, they make small new things that people get hyped for like auto upgrade, trait pity (only for mythics not even secret traits,) or just changing/making additions to what recent games have done. But why are we so excited over a few small QOL? In reality all recent TD games are the same just reskinned, none of them really try anything new it's all same old same old low mythic/secret odds, traits, story and legend stages. It's just wild to see every new game come out be "is this the new best game" but it's just the same games wrapped in different paper with some new QOL added that makes the community excited. I might have to step in myself at this point.

I think overall AV will be better, but not as much as it should be considering how AV already has AA to take inspiration from, yet so far all they’ve done to improve quality is just give more generous trait rerolls, qol and heavily improved the visuals, they aren’t doing enough to improve the actual gameplay or stand out, and that’s really starting to show with the process of getting units being heavily revolved around completing the same stage multiple times

this video said everything ive been saying 😭😭 i played aa on release and even got the marineford luffy unit and the game was BUNS i only came back on the pucci update cus hes my fav jojo character and i took another huge break and came back on the jojo part 4 update and then played until the takedown and honestly the game had so many issues like the garbage stat transfer system, garbage stat reroll system (if u had 100% worthiness and used a full stat reroll it only guaranteed one A or higher stat instead of all 3), garbage trait reroll rewards and also the boring obtainments for most secrets considering they were all portal or legend stage drops. I don't understand how ppl glazed aa and even called it better than prime astd (2020-2021) when the game was so grind orientated and so p2w lol

Really anime vanguards is mainly popular due to the many people who want to relive the nostalgia of AA and was hyped up FOR that reason so you cant be so sure.

In my opinion : Im kinda blinded by the Nostalgia of Anime Adventures, because its the first time that an Anime tower defense have that MUCH graphic, puts out updates in like what, 1-3 weeks each. So ill just put the happy and sad moments on Anime Adventures ( that i experienced ) Good thing : It was easy to evolve the Units, because i think at the Halloween update they made it so the requirements of the units is cut in HALF. ( Except the star fruits ) It was really fun to like wish and actually get the unit you wanted, Plus getting an unexpected mythic trait like Unique on the unit thats META, and the developer making sure that they put out update each 1-3 weeks. The not so happy moments are : Its hella grindy. ( It'll take you like 30-50 minutes finishing the story modes , which is just ONE story. ) The raids because it'll only give you 20-22 requirements once you got into act 5 ( WHICH you have to spend like hours and hours just to get the 250-300% damage buff on the raid ) Portals ( you have to grind for HOURS in infinite, hoping for a portal and you might even not get the secret unit after grinding for hours ) Rerolls ( They don't give rerolls, ALTHOUGH in the anniversary and Christmas they gave liks 25 rerolls EACH. And the rates of getting unique or mythic traits is horrendous. ) In my opinion : Anime Adventures still have ALOT of potential, because theres still alot of things they haven't put out and i think Anime Vanguard is filling the hole Anime Adventures left. It would've been easy to grind if they make that so you wouldnt have to teleport back to the lobby each act , or like Infinite. ( I'm thinking of AFK grind of course. ) And i also heard that in the Christmas event of 2023 they're supposed to make Trait rerolls easier to get ( but that didn't happened because they got copyrighted ) If you grinded F2P, you'll need luck by your side, which i am but the only good unit i got with a good trait is Poseidon Golden. Although yes i dont have Unique traits, i have like each META units such as Law, Guts, Griffith and more ( with just grinding for hours ) EDIT : also, i forgot to mention that, i remembered AA hit 100k playercount one ( or im delusional ) and if its still going, it might've gotten like 150K today or more considering that the downfall of Anime Adventures REALLY lit up the fire for Anime tower defense games such as Anime Vanguard, AWTD, ALS and AD, making them have like 100K players ( like Anime Vanguard, AD etc. )

I think liking whatever you want is fine, but dogging on anime adventures for valid reasons then defending anime vanguards even when they themselves violate the own things you just said and you paint it out like they don't is pretty hypocritical. Both AA and AV are p2w. In BOTH games, the best traits arent needed for the regular content. However for the competitive parts, you definitely do. Leaderboards were and are the actual competitive part of both games, and for both you NEED unique. Tournaments in both games have traitless genres so that cancels out. People arent hating on anime vanguards for specifically having 0 content. Its that they constantly delay updates, lie to their community. Just to release 1 singular unit and a copy paste gamemode. People hate on the management which we can all agree is magnitudes worse than aa's management. This same exact video, with the same exact impact, with the same exact points could've been made for anime adventures.
