Primal Reboot: Get Your Health Back On Track With Ancestral Health Coaching
$285? It's a $50 derailleur I think. Takes 15, maybe 20 minutes to swap out. Why didn't my high school counselor tell me about becoming a bicycle mechanic?
I was thinking the same thing. Also, if you ride bikes you should be able to replace parts so you don't have to pay for the over priced labor charges. That was like a 5 minute job and like you said maybe a $50 derailleur. Also, it should have been warranted by Trek in the first place!
Well, sometimes things arent that easy. Im not a bike mechanic, but it took 2 guys 2-3h to fix. They had to take parts from two other bikes in their workshop. They switched some other things too in order to make it all work. Im glad they did so I could move on! Cheers!
Inspelat när?
Hej! Sommaren 2023. Sugen på något liknande? ⚔️
@@theprimalswede Tack! Jag är sugen på att göra en Björn Suneson och springa genom hela USA. :)
Very inspiring tour! Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm always on the lookout for ideas where to ride. Although I live in the south of Germany, I'm in Gothenburg at least once a year, visiting my son, who works and lives there. He just finished his second Svensk Klassiker last weekend, the bike-part (Vätternrundan) we did together both times. In August of 2024 I was in Gothenburg for one week and had the idea to surround Vänern too. So one afternoon I set out and cycled to Vänersborg, there I started into the night and around the lake clockwise via Mellerud - Åmål - Säffle - Grums - Karlstad - Kristinehamn - Gullspång to Mariestad. After 18h total and 392 km I made my first longer break to visit friends. When I continued one and a half hours later to complete the tour round Vänern and back to Gothenburg I unfortunately had a pain in one knee that kept getting stronger. So I returned to Mariestad and took the train back to Gothenburg, where I arrived 23 hours after I started. In the end I did 405 instead of 600 km that I had set out to do. Nonetheless I was very happy about the adventure.
@@docnob thanks for sharing 💪🙂 sounds like a great ride! Maybe I should do that one too, around Vänern. Got any more upcoming ultra rides?
@@theprimalswede One idea that I'm working towards is: ride to Gothenburg - in 50 hours. That includes 680K from where I live crossing most of Germany northwards to Kiel (i.e. start early one morning, ride the whole day, through the night and the following day, arrive in Kiel late afternoon after approx. 36h), take the ferry to Gothenborg, where I can rest and sleep during the crossing. In my opinion it is the coolest thing about bike-riding that you can cover quite long distances in a fairly short amount of time while also experiencing nature, landscape, wind/weather and yourself! One other project is Paris-Brest-Paris in 2027. So stay strong, or as I often say: "Da geht noch mehr!" (which is German and translates to "more is still possible". Jag hoppas att vi träffas någon dag.
Im 120kg now and today i signed up for half a marathon! Wish me luck... lots of training ahead.
Awesome! Well done, remember, its all a mental game. Go for it! Stay strong 🙌🔥 which marathon?

Prayer and mindfulness are both practices that can help people cope with stress and find peace. While prayer is a religious practice that involves sending thoughts and focus toward a deity, mindfulness is a practice that focuses on the present moment.

Trek bikes are well built. For such a very long ride, you may have to change tires to something more durable than the stock tires the bike came with. Enjoy the ride! 🚴🏻♂️☺️
Said and done. Switched to continental 5000 Grand Prix 🔥🚴♂
I'm planning a biketouring trip fom Spain to Albania, which is *roughly* similar in distance as crossing the US from east to west. My average speed is less than yours, I avg about 8mph or so, but I'm riding a mtb. So your planning gives me an idea that perhaps I might be able to cross Europe in a month, or a month and a half. Will check your future episodes to see your progress. Cheers!
Cheers! Yes, indeed. Its also about the number of hours spent on the saddle. You can come very far, even with a slower speed just by staying on the road for longer 🔥 Let me know how it goes mate!
Appreciated! I need to make my bike super comfortable like a living room lol, so I can eat up the miles. I also thought of going electric, since e-bikes are much faster. I subbed to your channel btw, to see your progress and also to help a bit with the subscriptions. I'm also a small channel, and it's a pain to grow! 😅Just some unsolicited advice, don't do promotions! @@theprimalswede

Cheers! In full preparation mode. Will do more research on temperatures, if you got any input on that topic. Let me know. Preparing for high ones. Got experience from biking in hot Spain 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
@@theprimalswede Temps could be anywhere from 25 to 45c through parts o Nevada and Utah. Very dry. Afternoon thunderstorms likely -- get a poncho or something similar. Also, you need to add Utah Highway 12 to your route, if you haven't already. You will regret it if you do not. I also have a Da Brim Classic visor I have added to my bike helmet. Cheers!
