Hello, do you need to take off the brake pads in order to do this?
Did your e46 lock when drive?
They locked after leaving the car parked with the parking break engaged
Did not "fix" anything. What you did was remove and replace (R&R).

This may be too late but I used this part a.co/d/bzR1g06 I would recommend a different one as this one wasn't the best fit

Do you have to take your brakes off?
If it's the parking brake that's locking the tire then there is no need, I removed the brake calipers and the rotors just to demonstrate what I was doing!
How far did you tighten the 2 nuts at the end?
I tightened it until there was tension on the cables

Pretty sure you bought the wrong one like I did. That's for facelift
Yeah I realized during the install, I just committed to it and kept them for now 😅
