No 1 - The Full Renovation
This has been very hard to condense, but should somewhat give you an overview of the how the renovation went. These were key points in the journey -
October 2022 - House offer Made
December 2022 - Negotiated reduction in price due to part of ceiling that had come down and further damp.
02 Feb 2023 We got the keys!
April 2023 Acquired first architect
May 2023 Chimney stack removal to water tight the house until building works began.
31 August 2023 Planning application submitted
03 September 2023 Removed garage off plan due to complications with TPO
October 2023 Council requested reduction in the extension to the side. Changed Architects!
November 2023 Altered plans sent in to council
December 2023 ...

Number One has been ours for a year now! It's been an interesting journey, work has seemed slow in some places. But drawing some of the pictures and videos together helps to see what has been achieved. In August 2023 we applied for planning permission. In February 2024 (!) we are still waiting. They have so far asked for 3 major revisions, which we have done, but has meant we've had to sacrific...

The garden at number one just keeps revealing more and more stuff. Most of which is of no use at all! As we've spent more time in the garden we've found out from the neighbours that it's been more like a couple of decades, than 5 years since any attention was given to the garden! In February 2023 we took on this run down property. It had stood empty for over 4 years, and for a few years before that it had been seriously neglected. We're looking at a complete gut inside and a hopeful extension to the side and back to give more space. The garden, well that's going to take some work!
