@@waffle8364 can plant in any zone even if not hardy in your zone and just grow it as an annual for the summertime. I am in zone 8b. They are not hardy here. I dig them up in the Fall, store the bulbs and replant when it heats up in the Spring instead of rebuying them 🙌🌱

@@dreamweaver5048 this video was in a rental house in Grapevine. We were in between selling our house in Colleyville after our daughter graduated high school and buying. We are now outside of Waxahachie in the country. My husband wanted some land and now we’re here 😂

@@BeckVMH oh my word me either! I’m not advising either way, but if it were me, and I owned the property, I’d remove it. I know there’s nandina out there that doesn’t spread and is easy to manage, but unfortunately, my battle with the kind that does spread for 2 years, just did me in. It was a struggle. Lol!

Another video (Horttube With Jim) was replacing with “Obsession Nandina”, stating they remain manageable and have more red coloring. Posting this as others may want to consider that option.

I was feeling somewhat deflated about my garden & the losses this year and your comment has made my day 💚 Even with the critters and mother nature causing havoc this year, I still have some good views and some pretty things to enjoy.

We are back to our regular scheduled program of Texas heat today 😂😭 I hope these are lovely in my garden! Yeah, I give up on hostas. I was able to grow them everywhere except this property 😫😞 too many critters out in the country!! 😂 and I’m not a patient enough gardener to keep trying to save them. I’m moving on. lol!! Thank you and indeed! I regret that I didn’t even pick up any of these vincas this year. These flowers are so grand in our heat and such pretty flowers. I’m still going through trial and error, but I think bringing in more natives this year and next is going to help me and the pollinators a lot with the tough heat and periods of drought.
