I have actually had experience of a mother doing the murder suicide act. My best friend had severe postpartum psychosis and she decided she would take her life and her son’s life however she she stopped herself going through with it and rang the police and an ambulance. She knew what she was doing was wrong even through the psychosis. She got 4 years but it could have been so much worse when you take into account she could have killed her 2 year old and herself. She has not been seen her son since not because she isn’t allowed to but because of the severe guilt she feels for trying to harm him. She has had treatment for her psychosis and is better now but she is still mentally scarred from what she was nearly capable of. Susan smith did not have psychosis and she sat by and watched those boys perish. No guilt and no shame.

How strangers can cry for the death of the precious boys and their own mother shed none goes to show she needs to stay in prison for life.

Imagine if someone was there when that happened that would be a witness. If I was around at that time and I was there and I saw Susan do that I would pull that car off the lake and call the police those two boys were cute and innocent and didn't deserve that it just breaks my heart.

If you don't want kids don't have sex or give them up for adoption or give them to the other parent don't sit there and drive your car into a lake.
