There are no speciality restaurants onboard Virgin Voyages, all restaurants are free - some may have a small surcharge like the Wake if you wanted a tomahawk steak. The food though is to speciality standard. Reservations are required for all the restaurants as there are 6 big ones and then rest is various places around the ship including the different sections of the galley. Afternoon tea is classed as an upcharge. It is not served as standard.

The videos never going to give you any insights into a transatlantic cruise it was talking about the Celebrity Silhouette Ship. It's part of a segment on my channel called 'Talk Ship' where I talk about the ship itself. I wasn't reviewing the transatlantic trip, it just happened to be that I was on a transatlantic crossing so gave context to the overall trip. There are some daily blog videos on the trip which showcase some of what happened from my point of view. I have been on many transatlantics and haven't really done an over all 'What is a transatlantic cruise like? video' as it's so different for so many people and why people go on them or don't! For me it's about the sea days to recuperate. For others they might want to do lots of activities or pick certain itineraries.

The cabin is towards the aft. I’ll look to putting in a map in future videos

@@saltyseabear great. When I see these videos, no one ever says, if it's in a loud or quiet part of the ship, far or close to elevators, is the balcony well situated. Ie privacy, wind, overhead or below obstructions. If I forget something is this room far from everything. Personally, I like that kind of information

@@icaughtulooking Towards the aft of the ship, its about 150 meters from the elevator lobby but that is not a problem as you cannot hear that much noise. on the starboard side of the ship towards the aft, even with the pool parties on deck 15 you cannot hear the music during the day or in the evenings. Privacy is like any other balcony on a ship. there are people either side and you have people above, so noise will be if you have noisy neighbors who slam doors etc. Wind was okay on the trips we did it would be like on any balcony if really windy, the noise would be the howling of the wind. Overhead no obstructions nor below, it looks down to the wrap around deck. It's on deck 10 so you have 4 floors above to the pool area. if you were on deck 14 you would probably hear the deck chairs and things being moved around like you would on any ship. The room is slightly larger than their standard sea terrace (Balcony) - it has a split bathroom, you have a separate commode to the shower both with doors to them and a large wash hand basin and mirror there is no door to the bathroom area. It's much bigger an area than in the standard room. the extra space around the cabin is nicer. the wardrobe space is enough for a small trip of up to 7 days, it all depends on how much you pack.

Yes if you ask they will sort for you. Enjoy the cabin it’s in a nice location especially when it’s windy.

Onboard virgin voyages ships

The balcony was the one and a half times the size of the room but like on most cruise ships it would be horizontal this one was vertically placed so it doesn’t look that way. I’d suggest maybe looking at their yacht club if you wanted a bigger horizontal balcony. This suite came with the daily spa access and a dedicated dining room - yacht club is a suite area, with its own lounge, sun deck, restaurant and spa access. You also get drinks package thrown in as well as priority boarding at all ports and you own butler. The balconies are bigger too. Although I didn’t see Yacht club on this ship. I hope your enjoying your long trip on a cruise which sounds amazing. Also I wouldn’t recommend the junior suites on this trip as they are situated above three floors of entertainment that would keep you up until 2-3am with loud music and noise. So it’s not peaceful or relaxing.

@@saltyseabear thanks for the reply. I’ve taken suites and yacht club on MSC. I was asking specifically about the ship because I have two weeks in October that there is literally nothing else except for the ship the best room they have available is something similar to this. I would never go in a regular MSC cabin. Even their suites have gotten smaller in the yacht club is the only thing that’s actually sufficient. Which is sad because when you go on this, the people that are there, I think that they’re on a lifetime vacation in their interior cabin, because it caters towards poor Mediterranean people. It’s mostly my problem with the customers on these ships because in Europe the week before the cruise, they sell out guarantees and all these very poorly behaved people bring two people for the sofa for four people in every cabin and it’s absolutely ridiculous. I was just looking at some thing and I’ve actually decided and booked flying to England from Barcelona to take a cruise back to Barcelona is really the only option on a different cruiseline Norwegian who I really don’t like either but it’s better than sitting in a hotel for two weeks in Barcelona.

The cabins are nice. Quite light and airy inside. Depending on the configuration - our bed was in the middle so hard to get into the wardrobe and tv by the sofa. I sometimes like to watch it in bed. The wardrobes are either next to bed or sofa and there isn’t much drawer shelf space. There is a small shelving unit under the tv. You are right under horizon the buffet so it can be a tad noisy if people scrape chairs along the floor. I did a full ship review in the video does Iona deserve to be the flagship. Oh the shower cubicle is more of a square which was nice and I’m rugby built and could stand in and turn around with good room around me.

We were midship towards the aft and the Horizon buffet was above us. I can't say for the rooms toward the front of the ship. Its best to look at images of the ship and that will give you and idea. From doing this It looks like most would be. The balcony right on the aft of the ship won't be as it tiers upwards. You still get some nice sunlight it's just not sunbathing on the balcony kind of sunlight.

Noted! Thanks for the tips. I’m thinking for the next one to put a different piece of music for each section. I have yet to put together a ship tour so will make sure to either have dialogue or titles on the screen to the different places.

Nope that stayed. It's mentioned in our daily vlog series. We found it later in the cruise.

NO tests were needed if you have had your vaccinations. had 4 so showed the cards or the proof on NHS passport on my phone and that was seen as enough.

We were told all Aurea guests were to go to Les Dunas. We know other people that booked the Aurea experience that were staying in Solo cabins and other suites were able to use it. Maybe they had lots of people onboard the trip you were on and changed it, that does happen from time to time. There was always tables available inside and outside and we ate in two different specialities on two evenings.

Totally social they have a nice bar upstairs and events on they invite you to them. It’s so close to everything else - you’ll love it. It’s right where you need it to be. Venues are 5 minute walk away.

I cant't seem to find it anywhere so I have emailed the production company as this might be an original production song. I love that song too. I have the whole show but not able to put it up on YT as the production company have previously asked me to take it down so I put in on my Apple TV and watch it every now and again as its so awesome. Hopefully I can get the details soon.

Happy holidays! Yeah all good here. It was so much fun, especially if you are a bit of a train geek! It's totally unique and unusual. They are hoping to expand and bring in another carriage that will be used as a buffet car / restaurant.

For this experience you get on a boat that goes out from the main land to an island about 10-20 minutes out at sea. The island has the dolphin, sea lion experience and a beach with an inflatable obstacle course. The dolphins were extremely friendly and playful and had lots of fun with you. The area backstage looked big from what I can see but it’s out at sea and not like the one at Atlantis or Discovery Cove in Orlando, where they are inland and not part or near an ocean. When you say swim back in open sea, the best answer for this is this is on an island out at sea so they are swimming in their natural habit but in an enclosed area as part of that island. If you google maps it you’ll see the area. I hope that has answered your question. At no time did I think the dolphins were being mistreated.
