You must never have been to Houston. It's hell on Earth. Going from LA with some of the nicest weather to Houston would be hard as the humidity is fucking unbearable. Austin gets nasty hot but it's not as humid and it's an interesting town with poor infrastructure so traffic gets really slow at rush hour, albeit less of an issue for an ebike. Austin wasn't well planned so you def don't want to get stuck far from home in a car too late on the day. For that Houston humidity is nothing redeeming except tons of trees, which only makes it more humid. It's also probably the worst part of Texas crime wise. I'd prefer Texas politics but it's a generally ugly state with no mountains, inferior beaches, relatively crappy tex mex. Both states have an abundance of Mexicans but ours make better food. Austin could be a fun spot in a van for a while a la Dillon Thomson. Not so much fun in the summer heat though. Might as well be on a beautiful Philippine beach or in Miami if you can tolerate humidity. Houston ain't it.

I have the 24 Freedom and can reach 38 on a flat surface. I'm 6'1" 250lb. But......i have the 2024 version 2 arriving tomorrow! Looking forward to finally hitting 40mph on a flat road! 👍

mine will vary depending on the wind...today i hit 41.5 but the fastest i've had it without pedaling was 44.2 on the display and that run was 43.5 on the gps however there was a tailwind. 41 plus is a daily occurrence with me weighing 175, my rear bag with about 20lbs of payload and origin8 supercells at 20psi.

i got the new one .45 is easy on a nice flat road. i'm 6' 2" 275lb

Funny how there are no reviews of the new Wired Freedom with the dual batteries. I've never seen anything like it. All the reviews are the pre-dual battery version, all coming out now. Why now? Why no reviews of the dual battery versions???? What the hell's going on?
