      Thanks so much Keanu. Japan is an absolute blast! Bring empty bags haha. We found accommodation & transport to be the expensive things, but everything else is relatively affordable and bordering on crazy affordable. Also be sure to let us know if you come across any stellar sights, tastes or activities for the next time we go. Do you have an idea of whereabouts in Japan you’ll be travelling to?

      @ I heard that 2025 is the best time to visit Japan because of the value. The idea is to go to the main touristy sites - tokyo, kyoto, mt fuji. But I am hoping to go to an onsen town for a day or two to get away from the city. Thanks for the tips!

    Amazing! Looking for veggie places in Shanghai ... Which bus- or metro station is near Duli's?

    • @weirdbutilikeit
      @weirdbutilikeit 29 дней назад

      Terribly Sorry John. I was certain I responded immediately but I think perhaps my VPN wasn't connected correctly. Changping road station is the nearest subway station, Line 7 I believe. It's about a 700m walk from the station. As for buses, I'm not too sure. We usually prefer to take Didi's around shanghai as we're not the biggest fans of playing sardines on the subway. I hope this response is still useful. Other great veggie friendly options in Shanghai are 'The 'Hai' for a great vegan burger. Charlie's for vegan burger options as weel and Charbon by Paul Pairet for some mediterranean fusion grill based items. There's also brothers for falafal & wraps.

    Travel opens people up to the world. The more people travel the less ignorant they become to other customs and beliefs. We are not particularly spiritual people but travelling through South East Asia helped us understand how feeling this way can help so many people and we loved learning about the different things people do in different countries. It also allows some very pale Brits to see the sun for a bit!

      We loved the vintage stores in Fukuoka, particularly ‘Clap Hands’ but we’ve found Tokyo’s stores to have better variety & pricing over most of the stores we visited in Fukuoka. Although that does not mean we’re disagreeing, it’s just we haven’t been to the ones you’re referring to. Would you mind perhaps sharing the names of the stores in Fukuoka that you love? We’d love to visit them when we return to Fukuoka.

    I like the TGV trains in France just as much I think. Although the space between seats in economy on the Shinkansen is impressive. Longest train journey probably in India Delhi to Chennai , but the nicest was Rome to Palermo overnight. We’ve been in Japan for 2 weeks and have eaten exclusively only at vegan restaurants/cafes only and only doubled up once on a restaurant in Fukuoka because I forgot to check if things were open on Mondays. Yay for happy cow! I loved the Evah bento boxes in Fukuoka. So handy for travel. I managed to pick up some vegan chocolate in Fukuoka at a dept store but haven’t had much luck otherwise. What about you with vegan chocolate?

      That Rome to Palermo sounds like it should go on our travel bucket list. It must’ve been absolutely serene!!! We were pleasantly surprised at how ‘not so difficult’ it was to find AMAZING vegan Japanese food. Did you try Hokusai in Fukuoka or Sonu Sonu? They are 2 of our favourites there!! We also found some MIND blowing vegan places in Tokyo and yes, we did find some vegan chocolates & traditional Japanese candy at Loft & the supermarket in Roppongi Hills Center.

      @@weirdbutilikeit we did try Sonu sonu which we liked. We both really liked Nice and Soy Stories too.
