Miracle Myles Update 10–Day 30 at CHOC (09.13.24)
It’s been one month that Myles has been at CHOC. What a month it has been! While we too would love to know when our Myles is coming home, we are on Gods timeline not our own, so we continue to “patiently” wait on the Lord. As hard as it has been, we still vividly see God moving in all of this. Ethan’s verse that he’s been praying is John 14:13-14 “ you can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the father, yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!” So please continue to stand with us for COMPLETE healing of Myles heart and that an intervention for his unicusped valve would not be needed and he would be supernaturally and miraculous...

It was a quiet day around the hospital, but a busy day full of hugs and cuddles for Myles. Grandma and Papa came to visit as did big brother. As we enter into a new month- we are happy to share that Miracle Myles has been making great progress! He did get an ng tube to assist with feedings as he continues to wean off medications and experiences minor withdrawals. Mom is feeling so much better, but now it’s dads turn to get rest and recover. Myles is doing great off the ventilator and soon even the high-flow will be taken off. Today he received a small bottle of breast milk and did great. He has some relearning to do but he finished his bottle and was a happy boy. Ethan got to hold him twice today. It’s been over two weeks since he last held him- so that was very special. Wonderful news the ventilator is out! He’s on high flow oxygen to transition, but overall stats are great and vitals are much stronger than before the last extubation. Can hardly believe it’s been two weeks since all of this happened, but we are headed in the right direction and dada is at hospital taking good care of our boy so mama can rest. Please keep the prayers going!

Today was another day of tests for Myles. While he did not get extubated, he is still one step closer. He had an MRI of his brain today and as we expected all is good and functioning as it should. His respiratory tests have been going well and we’re praying the ventilator comes off tomorrow. We hold Psalm 41:3 close to our hearts and know our boy will soon be coming

Myles had another day of rest with a “sprint” test which was done to ensure his respiratory system has improved post surgery and work towards getting extubated on 08.27.24. He is a feisty little guy and stats remain good. Please continue to lift him and our family up in prayer as we work toward discharge!

Our miracle Myles is out of surgery but he’s requiring some extra care and prayers. We believe God is at work healing and restoring him back to complete health.
