Die Eisenfaust am Lanzenschaft

This is a German song which translates to the iron fist on the lance shaft. The song was written in honor of the Teutonic knights of Germany. The order was founded in Jerusalem during the 2nd crusade and is dedicated to Mary. Sadly, people today often view the crusades in a bad light. Personally, I think those people are just being contrarians and unfortunately people are then not properly educ...

This is a German soldier song from WW1. In the song the soldiers lament at the loss of support from the government and the fall of many of their men. Their last duty in the war was to bring their flag back home. If you want to check out more German folk songs, you can find them on Dr. Ludwig's channel. @dr.ludwig

Maggie West Waltz

This my favorite waltz, and probably favorite song. For me, these waltzes encompass the simple joyful life. I always envision a nice cabin or farmhouse with a nice big family on a summer evening with an abundant garden and crops. Maybe someday I'll have that.

This is the Church hymn "Would You Come and Follow Me" which is set to the Scottish tune Kelvingrove.
Star of The County Down/Canticle of Turning

This is by far one of my favorite Irish songs. In mass we would sometimes sing Canticle of Turning which how most people that I talk to know the tune. One day I looked at the bottom of the page and found that it said the tune was Star of the County Down, so I looked it up and sure enough the church hymn is just the folk song but with a rewritten lyric.

This Bluegrass song is by The Dillards. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. It was a lot of fun to make this one.

It doesn't sound as good without a banjo but it's still a good one regardless.

This is that one song from the HTTYD movies. Those that know it, know it. Those were some of my favorite movies and shows as a kid.
I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light

We would always sing this hymn in CCD class which we always just called "religion class". I don't know if this is something that all across the world, America, or just the Midwest. But for those that don't know it is a religion class that Catholic kids go to up until they graduate high school. Many fond memories. I played this version as a 3/4 rhythm.

Church Hymn: Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
Very well played, these songs hit really deep right.
Thanks so much for covering my tune! Lovely to hear it in on accordion :)
Actually, that’s kakorico Village
Lol thanks for bringing that up. Your totally right. I'm gonna change that.
I love that song, Bravo!
The song definitely wasn't called "religion class". It was called I "Want to Walk as a Child of the Light". And you're thinking of Evening Prayer. The class was called CCD.
No sorry, what I mean was that we usually just called CCD class, religion class. And then yeah, we would sing this during the evening prayer portion of it.
Lol
Good job sir!
Is that my brother?
Is that my tie clip?
Nah it's the gold one from grandpa.
Ooh - you're trying a little smile at the beginning and the end. Nice!
Yeah, I still cannot focus on playing and smiling at the same time. I like to tack it on at the beginning and the end, so they know I'm having a lighthearted fun time. Which I am, to be clear. It just takes focus to play. If a musician is smiling whole time, they play, then they're either not playing or rehearsed very well. Or at least that my two cents. Maybe it depends on the person.
The whistle is simple and nice, isn't it? 3 years ago, this is my first concertina tune.
I couldn't agree more. It is a fun one to play on the concertina, I must say. This whistle is a very simple and nice instrument. It's a staple of Irish music and is very easy and inexpensive. I recommend them to anyone to wants to get started with music.
I'd love to play this song. It's beautiful! Unfortunately I couldn't find the same tune you played on RUclips. I also like Talisk. Mohsen Amini's technique is amazing.Thank you for uploading it to RUclips.
Thank you I do appreciate it. Hehe, yeah, I need to start rewatching my videos before I post them. The tune is called 'The Road Not Taken' by The High Kings NOT 'The Hills of Kaitoke'. You should have no problem finding the tune then. As for me, I will end up taking this video down and uploading the actual Hills of Kaitoke video. I already have my cover of 'The Road Not Taken' out already so you can still find it there. Sorry about that. Glad to know I'm not the only one that appreciates Talisk.
…..that’s my shirt
Well... you left it at home so I figured you weren't gonna need it anytime soon. I think it is either in the closet or in your old room, awaiting steadfast and patiently for your arrival.
H*ck yeah!
😂😮
Right on!
Thank you, my good sir, I like watching your videos too.
@@UnbuttonedBellows preciate that my man!
