This is what I’ve learned so far on the LCD screen, as it did not come with any instructions. I still have a few questions and I hope this helps anyone who just got themselves one.
Hey everyone, I have an electric bike with a screen version from before April 2024. The speed limiter works fine on gears 1, 2, and 3, but there's no speed limit on gears 4 and 5. I need to disable those gears or limit the speed to a max of 25 km/h because I live in the Netherlands, and here the police regularly check bikes. If they catch me going faster, the fine is 300 euros, and the second time, they take the bike away. I found this RUclips video: ruclips.net/video/UYd2TVWPlPk/видео.html, but I'm having the same issue as one of the commenters: "I tried this, but it just flipped through the settings instead when pressing down +." I also got this info from Riding Times: Speed Limit Operation for the Previous Version: P3 is the speed limit setting option, with a range of 10-40 km/h. Press the '' button briefly to enter the parameter modification mode; press the '+/-' buttons briefly to select the parameter; and press the '' button briefly again to save the parameter settings and return to the general settings menu. But this only works for gears 1, 2, and 3. It doesn't seem to apply to gears 4 and 5. Does anyone know how I can disable or limit the speed for gears 4 and 5 to 25 km/h? I'd really appreciate your help because I want to ride the bike here without risking fines. Thanks!
heloww, I have a z8 too, and I have not seen any z8 ebike with mirrors like yours one, could you please share the link where you bought those nice mirrors, please?

@@honestlynate7922 Thank you, I appreciate it.
I have same bike it came in 45km per hour and I wish to change to 25km per hours and also I realised it takes long time to reaccelerate when I stop at the traffic or make a stop .. any help please
@@kwekusackey it takes a long time to accelerate even when I pedal so I use the throttle. They have a RUclips channel that is really awesome and should explain everything that you need.
@@honestlynate7922 yes but the throttle consume a lot of the battery energy
did you solve this problem? I also have to limit this bike to a maximum of 25 km/h and I can't ;/ I have to turn off the 4.5 gear somehow because I live in the Netherlands. found this RUclips video: ruclips.net/video/UYd2TVWPlPk/видео.html, but I'm having the same issue as one of the commenters: "I tried this, but it just flipped through the settings instead when pressing down +." If you lower your Voltage & Amp-hours, in theory you should be able to get a longer charge out of your battery right? Trying to make mine last a bit longer or getting a bigger one.
@@therealcamerondrake yes. Absolutely.
i have this bike how do i make it faster? thanks
@@lil6io732 I only tops out at like 30 miles an hour on a straightaway. Otherwise, I can get it up to 40 downhill and uphill. It usually goes around 20. Sometimes 15 depending. you can email customer support and they will tell you how to unlock the bike however I have had people tell me that I need to make sure I buy a second battery because you will drain that 48 V 10 miles
i did this and my bike is slower from 44 top speed to now struggling to get to 30 +
is there a way to reset it
i guess my bike could have been in kmph when it was reading 44 but i will follow your setting tomorrow and ride from there
@@RBJD07 yeah the kilometers per hour will read around higher than miles per hour. I was reading online that you can email customer support and give them your model number and they will tell you how to unlock your bike and speed potential. If you look for riding times Z8 global videos. It’s going to be a library of 15 or 20 videos. It has everything you need to know for this bike.
You can't change the brake pads on this bike you have to buy new calipers I bought five sets of brakes pads for it and I can't even use them I can't ride my bike cuz the brakes are shot and I'm not going to pay $100 to take to a bike shop
@@wrongway100 why not replace the calipers? There’s a video on their RUclips channel that shows how to do it. I hope you get everything sorted out.
Can't change the brake pads on it got over a thousand on mine I bought five sets of brake pads pissed me off that you can't change them
Was there too, awesome show. Shoutout to u for holding a camera the whole time! Do u happen to have the second set?
@@Wicked_Ez No. I had to just enjoy the second set and move around. The sound there is incredible
@@honestlynate7922 Totally! It was a great time.
hell yeah
Lost same screw on same side of fender...but over all ur review was on point
Just got mine - how do I change to MPH?

OK, hold the two bottom buttons on the LCD screen then select over until you get to P04 go down to the bottom using the positive button and select it from one to 02
I also just shared a video that goes through the whole LCD screen or everything that I know so far
I have the same bike , seting yout tires to 27 inches it defenetly inc the top speed , becouse when the computer thinks the tire is bigger give more motion to it in order to spin , the bigger the tire is the greater the motion. So if you want to make your bike go faster , make it to 25 or more depends what you want.
moving the throttle for me does nothing do you know what I can do?
@@Asif-nl7pp I hope you solved your problem, but I would make sure that all the wires are connected properly that your brakes are not on too tight and that the bike is on and you have pedal assist on.
Here is a link that will help you make sure that your p 08 is in the correct mode to allow your throttle to work. This is where you can shut off your throttle. ruclips.net/video/EaTyWJfqufo/видео.htmlsi=HgPGgAPQ4sJkdEjM
My speed limiter is on -- and it won't let me adjust! Any suggestions??
ruclips.net/video/UYd2TVWPlPk/видео.html
I juat want my freaking tires to move ?!?!??! Why doesn't it work
@@karMyloPonderosa are you getting power to the LCD screen after you turn on the battery and hold the on button top left? Are your brakes too tight and preventing your tires from moving? Is your battery charged? My battery did not come in charged. I would really like to help you.
@@honestlynate7922 I got ot. Ty bro
What is the top speed?
28 miles an hour, but I average between 21 and 25 on my way to and from work
I found out that I can email the support team and get the bike to its maximum potential which is up to 62 miles an hour. However, I would need to carry an additional battery with me because it would just suck it right down I’d probably get about 20 miles before it dead
I wanna get this bike really bad, do u get 100 kilometers or more with Paddleassist? Also how far do u get in each mode throttle only u rekon
If I don’t use any peddling, I will get about 30 miles before I have to charge. I’ve never brought it any lower but it says I have about a third of my battery left. If I pedal, I’ll get about 50 miles before I have to recharge. I live in a hilly area, and I usually only use pedal assist five sometimes I’ll go down to pedal assist three
Does anyone know how to unlock the speed limiter mines only goes 15mph and i cant change the speed limit from 25kmh in the p3 setting anything helps
Have you tried increasing the voltage of your bike? P1. if you’d like, I can make a quick video that shows the exact settings of my bike and you can copy?
ruclips.net/video/UYd2TVWPlPk/видео.html
The tires are 20x4 and increasing to 23 will not do anything for performance.
After increasing to 23, my time to and from work has decreased by a full minute and a half each way. My apple gps reads a full 5 mph faster during that trip than it did before I made that adjustment. I’ve also been able to reduce my battery usage by decreasing my voltage to 24 on my way to work and back at 36. No change to the INCREASE IN SPEED I achieved while adjusting my wheel size to 23 over 20. ✌🏻✌🏻
I’m thinking of getting this bike, is it durable? and how many watts and volts is the battery?
The battery is 750 W. It peaks at 1500. It is 48 V. I’m getting about 35 to 40 miles before I need to charge and I’ve been in Massachusetts, but I’ve made us to get the bike on the flatland throttle only to 30 miles an hour.
@@honestlynate7922 oh ok thank you 🙏!
Looks pretty rad here honestly and yea the chipped paint adds character ya nomad, lol
Thanks. I’m really enjoying the bike and I really enjoyed the price. I’m just hoping to share so other people maybe get out and try it.
