This is a soup that my mother used to make when I was just young. When she was starting a diet she would eat this cabbage soup every day for 7 days. She would lose up to 10 pounds a week eating this soup. The recipe back in the 70's was a little bland so I put a little bit of a twist on it. INGREDIENTS
1 head of cabbage
5-7 large carrots or half a bag of small carrots
1 white onion
1 medium turnip
5-6 cloves of garlic
1 large bag of broccoli
parsnips (optional)
celery (optional)
2-3 cubes of vegetable bouillon
1 large can of diced tomatoes (28oz)
1 large can of crushed tomatoes (...
