I'm old fashioned, but I don't understand why the audience makes so much loud noise while Tom is singing. You'd think they'd want to hear every word. How does Tom hear his own words when the crowd doesn" t act like they 're even listening. I guess I must be missing something.

I have listened to many, many, many live versions of this song. I heard things in this version I have never heard before. Simply amazing.

I was tired as heck after the dust storm from the night before and from drinking alot of beer through the day so I went back to our tent on the hill, but I could hear the performance perfectly and it was one of the best sounding ones I have ever heard. I got to watch him doing another performance much the same on Austin City Limits soon afterwards and he was just the most graceful performers, he really loved his audience. RIP Tom Petty.

I've seen over 3200 concerts in my life and besides my all time favorite show.....Pantera,this weekend comes in second. I didn't have a pot to piss in but I bitch hiked Vancouver to Pemberton with nothing but a dream. Once I arrived,I stood there for 5 minutes and some lady said,here . She passed me a weekend pass. The Best WeekEnd I have EVER had
