They are one of my favorites, but I would have a hard time picking just one. I love the color and the singing. From a behavior perspective, I like watching Chickadees. Nuthatch is pretty cool too. Goldfinch definitely gets a big 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Puyallup by 5th street. All the spots you can access going upriver to mouth of the White (stuck) River should have fish trickling through daily

Kevin, I go in from the parking lot just past the fire station. Some people call it the skate park. The runs are just below Voights creek. However, my favorite places are accessed lower by the Treatment Plant. You can walk miles below and above from the Treatment Plant. Less people there too.

It varies on the river I am fishing water conditions. With that said, when drift fishing corkies, cheaters, etc...... I am usually around 6 feet on bigger rivers. If I am using lots of lead and fast current, I will go even longer to try and get the bait away from the clank clank of the weight...... as much as 8 feet. I don't really measure, just all approximately I just eyeball it for the rod I am using. I like using smaller hooks and like a small profile that will still give buoyancy so I often double up on small cheater or corky with a size 4 or 2 hook. If specifically targeting kings, I will use a size 1. When fishing with eggs, I might occasionally go 1/0 ..... again depends on many factors. I will occasionally also just use the next size up cheater and only use one. Besides what I think I am trying to accomplish for the presentation from a fishes perspective, I always try to get it so its the right combo with the hook and bait to get the best drift so the hook isn't dragging or it's floating up too high above the fish. Depth and speed of the current helps me choose. I also believe scent and color makes a difference. When fishing bait, I will often use a small cheater or corky. I personally prefer cheaters because it doesn't scrape your leader. However, cheater prices have gone up more than corkies in general. The people that consistently catch fish have it dialed in for catching vs just only flossing. Anytime the water is open for and conducive to fishing real bait ..... eggs....etc..... I like using bait. Everyone has their own opinions and what works for them. I try to be open minded to try other ideas, but over the years I know what I prefer. You just need to get out there and spend time trying different things in different conditions to find what works best for you and is enjoyable. To each their own I say.

Also, if I am fishing smaller rivers or small sections with lighter flows where I am using really small amount of weight, I will go down in leader length. 3 to 4 feet.
