    Quick question, what would be the minimum effective dose when doing vo2 max stuff ? Eg 3k, 5k work. And would this give the same affect as with the speed endurance stuff ?

    • @ThunderRoadRunning
      @ThunderRoadRunning 3 года назад

      I like the question although the answer isn't easy! The MED would just be based on their training age, weekly loads, cycle load, and how many exposures they've had of that type of session! Generally speaking when doing VO2 work the athletes volume of work could be between 20-50% of their aerobic threshold volume (work at roughly 1/2 marathon pace). It's safe to start at the lower end and work up with more exposures...if it ever takes more than 2 days to recover, you've probably overcooked it.

    Is the 4mmol inflection point unique to Anrsene or is this a common with most endurance athletes?

    • @ThunderRoadRunning
      @ThunderRoadRunning 4 года назад

      The 4mmol mark is very common in endurance athlete's, it's what happens once you cross that inflection point that is unique to the person. Some sky-rocket into the 15+ range and others gradually build as they go. Both have their advantages depending on the event you're training for.
