Form tip on the push ups. To keep from hurting your shoulders you want your elbows flared at 45 degrees not 90 degrees. You engage your deltoids and upper chest more rather than putting strain on you shoulder and rotator cuffs. Start on your knees if need be it's about quality not quantity. Injuries and set backs suck!!!

Keep at it, Laki! The secret to staying fit is consistency. You do need to give your body time to rest and heal. From my own experience with 30 years in the Air Force, they tested us with a 1.5-mile run, 1 minute of push-up, and 1 minute of situp. We are not training for power but endurance. It's all about progression. The more push-up and sit up that you can do in a minute, the more core strength you are built up your muscles over time slowly. The less run time in 1.5 mile you can do, the better your lung and leg muscles are doing their jobs. People tend to give up exercise because it takes up time and convenience of our busy lives. Sorry about my long drawn "Blah blah"!😆😆😆 But it kept this 60 years old body going strong all these years. Get it done and stay strong, Laki!💪👍
