My triumph stag hasn't been run for 11 years, after cleaning the contacts on the fuel pump in order to get the pump working the car started without much difficulty

Restoration of my 2CV owned since beginning of 2004, taken off the road 2008 due to corrosion and lack of funds to restore. I started the restoration November 2017 the video contains mainly photographs with the odd video added, a few more pictures added to the original video, I am now just awaiting my bonnet to be sprayed so I can get the vehicle MOTed.

Crude noise maker, sounds ugly; how anyone can love diesel locomotives is beyond me.
@@CDMTransport I made a perfectly valid point about Class 37s, they are crude sounding heavily polluting primitive machines. Electric London Underground trains sound and look superior than 37s.

What's the purpose of this working?
It’s an officer’s special. The coach contains railway managers,and is used to examine the line. At the front of the coach is a man with access to the brake who can stop the train in an emergency.

Blimey what a mammoth effort! I'm not sure but I think I have photos from the ebay ad of this car, I remember it looks like it was at the bottom of the sea! You made that shell look light coming out the back of the sprinter. Really thorough job of restoring, well done!
Professional glazers have something called GlassSlip that makes working glass into gaskets much easier. It contains lanoline.
It took longer to install one side window than rebuild the rest of the car... If this was a bomb, then the 'just cut the green wire' could be problematic.
Reminds me when we got ours going after 27 years! Plans to get it back on the road?

Are these things valuable or is it 100% sentimental?
Depends on what you call valuable. 15 years ago you almost couldn't give them away, they were considered old bangers. But today it's different. Today they are true classic collector cars. Cars in top condition are fetching prices over €10k (more then they ever were brand new) and the really rare very collectible 2 engined 4x4 Sahara version way more. I think 2CV owners like the car because of the context in which it was designed and built: The car was designed halfway the 1930's, a time of economic crisis so people couldn't afford the big heavy cars from the 1920's. That's why Citroen designed this car. Sadly the 2nd world war happened and France became occupied. Citroen managed to hide away a few prototype 2CV's to keep them out of the hands of the german nazi's. After the war France needed to rebuild it's country and economy so the demand for a cheap versatily car was still there. They started production in 1949 and the car became a huge succes. The last one was built in 1990!
