Ahh Riptides, ye 'old faithful. She picks up any drop of swell in the Indian Ocean, works through most of the tide, and is surely one of the most picturesque locations we're fortunate enough to surf. Just keep an eye out for the infamous currents that have been known to sweep surfers paddling from nearby Guraidhoo island far past the break. Yes, they still exist but they are not cheap.
Not cheap, no. But the cost to wave ratio is through the roof 🙌
Looks killer, I like the fact that it’s uncrowded so you can focus on being in the moment Stayed at Lohis in 2017 early season with the family had a great time.

The waves in this clip are pretty typical for what to expect in March, depending on where in the Maldives you go 👍
@@renegadesurftravel so in Maldives there would be waves above 4/5 feet somewhere else pretty much always?
@@TextsCentral not always, no. But there's a good chance of scoring a few days around that size
