Informative video. I have just installed this unit and I'm very happy with it. Is it possible to adjust this so that Android Auto isn't the default screen on startup? I would like it to be DAB.

Great unboxing, can you advise how to wire in the reversing camera on a Toyota Yaris using a a Connects2 CAM-TY2-RT retention lead. When splicing wires do you always recommend soldering rather than using something like a Wago connector?

I’ve got another question in the hope you still have this unit around. I’m looking to buy this to install in an old model Defender (TD5 era) where I have a 10-year old Pioneer 1-din flip up screen that needs to be replaced. I’m concerned about how far the screen protrudes from the head unit as the Defender gear shift comes close to my current screen in 1st, 3rd and 5th gears. My question is how far is the screen from the head unit/dash with and without the screen extension ? I realise this is a very specific question, but I was unable to find proper dimension specs in the Pionner manual for this unit or on their website. Again, great video and you’ve sold this to me if it fits!!

Hello Alex. I just got this installed in my car but it doesn't display my OEM reverse camera. I was told i need to buy a reverse camera retention interface but I can't find any on the matket for Peugeot 3008 (2016). Do you have any recommendations to resolve this issue? Thanks.

When I saw the thumbnail, I was like dam that’s the smallest Snap On truck I’ve ever seen. Then I started video and heard the accent. Here in the states the tool trucks are huge. I’m not a big 18 volt guy with Snap On but that stubby impact looks nice. I like the truck would make a good field service truck for me.

Mk2 Golf my favorite, and my favorite color! Not sure I'd like the flipout screen. I used similar speakers in the rear of mine. The US built mk2s had larger speakers in those rear panels than the German/Mexico built ones. Nearly all our mk2s had A/C as well and the heater controls are vacuum driven.

Interested in how the Merc ends up. If removing original screen, how do you adjust vehicle settings (eg HVAC, exterior light delay, auto fold mirrors, set time, etc.) - are these all replicated on the double DIN unit? (Hope this comment doesn't get deleted (like my comment on your last video!) - not sure if RUclips or....)?

I don't think a wide body kit would look good..sorry, Dan. I'm in favor of power and brake/suspension upgrades rather than bolt on aesthetics. Maybe powdercoat the wheels for a longer lasting finish? Mopar purple would look killer or screaming radiation green.
