Dremel and a diamond blade. Then superglued the cut side so it doesn’t splinter.

Have you though about a boa mount for the front? Take some sprung weight and move it to the front axle would help tremendous
I have printed up some mounts but everything starts to bind. The battery is lightweight so I've left it in the rear.
