To get the items you need for anima mate you need get all secret items from all cloister of trials. As you correctly said there are items in : Besaid temple, Kilika temple and Djose temple which is a magic sphere I think. There is also 1 in Macalania temple (Shivas) that is a luck sphere and to get both items in Bevelle trials you need to reach the end with 2 Bevelle spheres in the pedestal (check out p.30 of my vids if you want a step by step). At the end open the 1 chest and step on the shiny thing on the floor, the pedestal should appear with the extra sphere in which allows you to push it across to the purple floor bit and let you travel over to the other chest If you have all of those then the only 1 left to do is Zanarkand, to do that you have to go back to Zanarkand after beating Yunalesca and getting the airship. When there just step on all white squares (which I explain in this video) and it should reward you with a magistral rod I hope this helps mate but any issues let me know I will try my best to help

@biglawngnome I think you are right mate I don't remember it being in the ps2 version either. Unfortunately that is the case, a great game and story. @Munts Ah yeah I get you, I do have a couple vids if they help in any way but unfortunately most come down to luck. Rikkus is easy you can't fail it, lulu's is easy if you use the crater trick, yunas is just getting the hidden aeons, wakkas is just blitzball, aurons is just capturing enough monsters to make 10 creatures at the arena. Khimari and tidus are the worst, there are maps for the best paths to take online for help with the butterfly challenge but unfortunately again tidys is luck and hoping the first 5 ballons are on your side at the start

Its actually my first time completing it 100%. I do agree though its one of the best FF

I forgot how the ending scene played out as its been a while since I last saw it. It was great seeing it again and felt a lot sweeter knowing I had fully 100% the game for the first time. Its a shame they didn't build on how great FFX was with FF10-2.

Overall as long as you keep at least 1 arm out the fight at all times, the fight isn't that difficult just long. After about 8 moves in the fight, if he manages to get both arms at the same time he will then use his overdrive, which is instant death regardless of HP level.

I still have some old saves knocking about somewhere so I could do an armour comparison if you would like to see one. The issue with break HP limit is to make it worth it you will need to remove all HP+200 from the grid and farm HP spheres from the arena to replace them with HP+300, which takes a long time to do 😂. That is why I prefer 9999 HP with auto haste/protect and ribbon, with a possible auto phoenix on the 3rd member. If you then need extra protection for whatever reason you could have Rikku as 1 of the members and use her mix overdrive, using 2 healing springs will instantly give null all (defence boost equivalent to 6 cheers null frost/fire/ice/electric) If you decide to do the break HP limit though then I would say auto potion/haste are more important and then remove all potions except x potions from your inventory since x potions heal max HP. I must be honest I'm unsure if you would be able to straight up survive a razzia or mega flare with max HP but since you would have to sacrifice defence buffs to reach max HP I wouldn't think it would help but I could be wrong ☺

@phantom_merc does the break HP limit mean you would need max HP to make it effective? This strategy you are on now relies on +%Def in Armour. Which obviously does work, so would it follow that break HP would work in tandem with defense spheres, rather than going all in on HP spheres?

@@biglawngnome That's an interesting question mate. I guess it comes down to personal preference and who your fighting People tend to favour Break HP or max defence I don't think I've seen anyone try to combine the two before. That is mainly due to being able to maximise your buffs from armour etc to support yourself. With Break HP you tend not to need high defence because you can tank most attacks outright. Thinking about it logically though you have 4 armour slots and Auto haste is essential for either playthrough so say 3 slots. The best armour for Break HP is probably : Break HP/Auto haste/Ribbon/Auto regen If I was to try it then for the dark aeons I would use something like : Auto haste/Ribbon/Break HP/Defence 20% For penance you could drop ribbon for something else because he isn't that bad with status effects so I would use : Auto haste/Break HP/Defence 20%/Auto regen I would ensure Rikku was a permanent squad member though for her mix ability and use 2 healing springs for added defence buffs and also hyper might G Just finishing the grid as it stands you come away with about 22/23000 HP, so I would suggest maybe possibly removing all magic attack stats from the grid since magic is essentially useless end game (due to relying on quick attack to maximise damage output as quick as possible) and x potions are a more effective way to heal yourself. With those nodes filled with HP-300 you will have a nice fat stack of HP and high defence. With the right armour and Rikkus mix buffs you should be able to tank a razzia or mega flare possibly but I'm not 100% sure on it 😂 I apologise for the essay and long reply but I had to write this 3 times because it failed to send 🤣. I hope it helps in some way though

Hmm interesting take, but I agree it is kind of weird to mix Def and hp spheres, there might be some golden ratio out there but probably not worth it lol. I totally agree Rikku would need to stay for Mix without ribbon on Penance, pretty sure that's the accepted strategy for the most part anyway. Anyway no worries on the long reply, it's clear you have a much bigger understanding of the game than I do, and I thought I was pretty pro haha🎉

@@biglawngnome Your probably better at the game then me to be fair mate, this is my first time fully completing the game including grid, dark aeons and penance. I usually give up and just finish the story half way through 😆

I have played through FFX a few times before but this is my first time taking on all the dark aeons/penance properly. Normally I get bored with the grind but I was 100% determined to fully complete everything and have proof I did it. I don't blame you using Yojimbo to give you a hand with it.

I believe that is the case yes, the higher Kimarhi's particular stats are stronger Biran and Yenke are. Thankfully for me going down Rikkus path didn't give me a big issue, it was only made harder because I killed the wrong one first and I was trying to steal level 3 spheres

That is actually a really good idea that I didn't consider 😂. A little late now but I just sat there until I got to the calm lands where you can get the first level 3

I agree the whole thing starts to come together and the world begins to unravel. Everything is no longer innocent and simple, I still remember the time I played for the first time and being gripped by every major plot dump

To be completely honest up until this playthrough I was the same, every playthrough I have ever done has always had Lulu on it with me. I knew about the person changing in Tidus blitz ace but never knew it could on the snowmobile, goes to show Lulu has always been my fave

I find as a game it's ok but as a FF it was awful. Some aspects of the game were fun but to get 100% was just so much pointless grinding and nonsense

I plan to do everything possible mate. So hidden aeons, celestial weapons, beat all dark aeons, capture all monsters and eventually penance if I can

@@phantom_merc Aha great. Playing through the whole thing and putting it on RUclips would be amazing, but obviously a big time/effort investment, so no expectations. For a relatively unknown mod like ours we'll take whatever we can get. 🙂 If you decide to give it a try, one small thing to note is that if you do "Quick Install" you'll only get two music tracks which can get repetitive, so better to do "Advanced Install" so you can select more music to download.

It is a different way to tell a story you don't see in many other games I like the way its done too. I have to admit though the way they started the game does make for a slightly more dull start to a FF then others

Back when I used to play them on PlayStation I never found it that difficult to do, the only annoying aspect was only being allowed to highlight 50 troops in 1 go. Then again that's how I started playing, I guess if I played on pc first id have a different view :)

Your right that's my bad, I don't know why I keep doing it 😂. When I first played this game I didn't realise the lore was so in depth I just enjoyed the game itself, recently been watching a few lore videos and its actually surprising how deep it goes

@@phantom_merc Personally, the Tiberium lore is way more interesting to me than Red Alert's lore. If you like to know more, look up these channels: No Strings Prd and Jethild, they have great C&C lore video's.

Ah ok thanks I never played them before this playthrough 👍, I never had an Nintendo 64. Did the password serve a purpose when they were on console ?

@@phantom_merc The passwords act as a savepoint between missions. You can't save your progress mid-mission, the use of passwords is the only way to save on consoles, and only before the next mission. This is true not only on N64, but SNES and NES as well.

Yes mate very true, but if I captured the refinery I only get about 6-700 per harvester unload. However if I leave it under GDI control then if fills up both silos on 1 unload and by capturing them I get double that if not more, so it's more useful to let the GDI get the ore and just steal it from the silos 👍

If you mean the buildings in the starting area, I didn't capture them because I needed the money to build an ore refinery and id rather have the guard towers for the defence (which proved very useful against the troop barrage you receive at the start). I didn't bother capturing after I had a refinery either because the money return when you sell the buildings isn't great and you get less then back then it cost to build an engineer (For me personally the buildings are not where I want them to be so I'd have to sell them to get my base how I want it).

@D_raticate_X I am using a few mods mate that could be why. Most of them are just graphical improvements but there are a couple that change the look of things like the menu (instead of just plain blue its now tidus Brotherhood sword)

I agree in some aspect mate it does seem counterproductive to spend the time and resources on building weird vehicles and troops when it could be spent on building a monster tank or something. When I got back into the game, I spent a while researching C&C Lore and stuff, and I was amazed at how in-depth it actually is
